Michael Emenalo - Friend or foe?

Featured Replies

Michael Emenalo's name again comes to the forefront in times of unrest. I think I am right in saying that he basically came out of nowhere from within the club having been brought in by Avram and thrust into the limelight following the sacking of Ray Wilkins. I believe at that time Carlo had little time for him and now we have AVB more or less reporting to him who then reports back to Roman. I find that set up strange that the manager has to speak to the owner through an intermediary. Michael is part of the management team as 'technical director' but I am wondering if he is not running back to Roman everyday as his snitch in a further effort to undermine AVB and then ultimately grab the big prize even though he dosen't have the pedigree to manage a club like this.....not saying, just wondering.

Didn't this bloke used to coach a girls under 12s team or something...lets be honest, his experience must be priceless when Ash spits his dummy

This guy must be extremely lucky or have some really dodgy information on Roman. His rise in the club has been unbelieveable. And what does he do? Does anyone really think he offers anything?

Calm down boys - you must take some comfort from the fact that it emanates from the Sun. Would you have been more comforted if the owner had not had an intermediary? What's the difference? The issue remains that the owner is concerned about Naples. Aren't we all? Your loyalty to AVB is admirable but there is no need to denigrate the intermediary. That's the way it has mostly worked at our club for some years. Each side in this saga is leaking now. That's the worry.

We must get a Gavel icon for you Youlots, ever since you came out of the Solicitor closet whenever you come out with things like "denigrate the intermediary" I picture Judge Judy

Only Joking mate you carry on, objection Sustained.

Yeah I have heard of those intermediaries, they are the guys that act as runners from the front line to the generals...I think they came into their own at the battle of Balaclava

a final Allied cavalry charge, stemming from a misinterpreted order from Raglan, led to one of the most famous and ill-fated events in British military history – the Charge of the Light Brigade.

Half a league, half a league,

space.gif Half a league onward,

All in the valley of Death

space.gif Rode the six hundred.

"Forward, the Light Brigade!

"Charge for the guns!" he said:

Into the valley of Death

space.gif Rode the six hundred.

And it was against the Russians funny enough!

Dont understand why he is there.

If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

I seem to recall having the dogs set on me for daring to mention that

And don't forget Marina Granovskaia. I dread to think where she fits into the equation.

Thanks for that, I didn't realise Avram brought him here...he must be quality I take back anything I might have implied  .

Wouldn't it be nice if someone could tell us how a normal Premiership football club is run, then how Chelsea is run, god forbid we could then make an informed decision instead of always blaming the person who's role we don't understand!

Do what Robert Townsend famously did when he took control at Avis Rent a Car in the 60s. Put a chart on the wall in reception, showing the company structure, who's responsible to who, and how much everyone is paid. I'm sure even the first part would be a challenge

It's just not from the Sun it's all over the media, and even AVB stated that he makes his reports to Michael who then takes his report to Roman...I still find that strange...maybe I am old fashioned as I would want to speak to the owner directly to ensure my message is delivered not misinterpreted.

Just too silly. Maybe Roman's going off his head, like Howard Hughes
