Hulk, Falcoa or Higuain which would you prefer and why?

Featured Replies

well it seems almost set in stone that we shall get Hulk but i thought i would get some views from you all on the three guys above for an article i'm writing so go ahead and start posting....

Haha when I saw this I thought "this is going to cause more arguments/disagreements."

Anyway I'd prefer Hulk. Not because we're rumored to buy him, we need wingers more than anything. We need players that will bring the ball forward quickly, we have Mata and hopefully Hazard. Hulk would complete the puzzle.

Higuain is class, but so was Torres. Higuain is quite similar to Torres, he needs good service and is a good finisher. But in our squad doubt he'll fit in, plus we have Torres and we only play with one striker. Same as Falcao, he's unproven in the Premier League and is a striker. We don't need another big signing of a striker.

Hulk. He is class on the wing, but also provides cover in the centre if needed. Higuain and Falcoa would both mean Torres going as none would settle for bench and can't be utilised on the wings.

I really like Higuain the best out of all of them but unless Torres has a complete meltdown with service from Mata and Hazard, we do not really need him. I think with Sturridge as a competent backup and who knows may flourish playing in the middle like he wants, we don't really need another striker. If Torres can't put the ball in the back of the net with the service we are looking to give him, surely Sturridge can... And if he can't well than, play Hulk there and put Marin ont he right, problem solved but I seriously doubt it will come to that.

My choice would be Hulk for his versatility... For Chelsea, Hulk would be ideal because he can play both as a striker and out on the right wing and he does both well... Sure people can argue that he plays in Portugal and/or his fees are a bit excessive and how we are taking a big chance. WIth that said though, what 25 year old not named Messi is a sure thing and even Messi is a no guarantee. Its a lot of money but I think Hulk will pay huge dividends whether its shirt sales, or playing, and more than likely both...

I hope we could lock it up soon though, that way we can close that monstrosity of a thread going on...

Yeah the question is not who is the best player, it's who should we sign and the clear answer has to be Hulk

The other 2 are great but would involve us playing a different system involving 2 strikers because neither they or Torres will be happy warming the bench

However, hulk is tailor made to fit on the right of our 4-2-3-1 system with the added bonus that he can push further up if required

Falcao is the best player of the bunch but we already have Torres so I can't see a point in this thread. If you were comparing 3 RWs then that would be fine, but out of the list only Hulk is a RW and we certainly don't need a striker right now (maybe next season if Torres fails again).

Forgive me, but isn't the answer elsewhere in these forums?

Torres gets Drogba out of the way and suddenly we bring in Falcao or Higuain?

Torres wants to be the main striker and Sturridge is unhappy on the wing?

It's obvious Hulk is the man and that is why, along with Hazard we are signing him!

Well ,it seems like there's a pretty conclusive answer to this.

If the purchase of Hulk/Marin/Hazard mean Torres is now going to be able to score 30+ goals then the problem is solved.

However, if Torres still struggles, I think the money for Hulk is better spent on a striker like Falcao. I just hope (if we are back in the market for a striker next year...hope not) that Falcao isnt sold to a rival club.

I still dont think Higuain is going to be sold. Madrid would be fools to sell him, and Jose is not the wheeling dealing kind of manager they have had before.
