I felt all nostalgic this morning and after typing 'Danny Arkins' into google found this website. I went to my first game at the Bridge in 1972 and last in 2001, in between managed to fit in up to a thousand matches, home and away. I now live in West Africa so getting to matches is a bit of a problem! Signed onto this site as it appears to have quite a lot of chat on the old days. Hope to have some fun on here, I remain Blue through and through!

Mod? abusive? No, he's usually very nice. I wonder whether it's your name he has reacted to. We used to have a poster on here called Lofty who was banned - perhaps Mod has mistaken you for him. You can't PM him because you haven;t got enough posts, but maybe you could post somehting here making it clear that you have no connection with the person who shared the first half of your name.

Well how weird! I thought it was a bit funny when he used capitals for your name, but then he has put his own name in capitals too, so perhaps it's just that he is ignorant, like I used to be, of the internet etiquette that says capitals are shouting. I have Ethical to thank for teaching me good internet manners.

Have had a right old day today, had to get some taps fitted but the guy kept going on that he wanted payment by cheque. I found it quite odd.

How very strange to want a cheque! That is so last century! I can't remember when I last used a cheque. Usually they want cash so it doesn't have to go through the books.

Hi all, I must have got the wrong end of the stick yesterday, I apologise but I distinctly saw a post from Mod with the following expression ' shhhhhhite' or very similar, maybe he was addressing his plumbing issue. For those of you who may be worried I am not the guy who was called Lofty, although I think I may know him if it's the same bloke from the 70's, he was even taller than me about six eight I would say, didn't know him personally but if you went as often as I did you couldn't fail to see him. It's a while ago now but if I remember rightly he got very abusive.

He was a decent poster for a fair while but if folk disagreed with his view in a topic he would take it personally and fly right of the handle! Shame, but these things happen.

That happens normally when accessing through a proxy, most proxy IP's are banned on IPB boards.

I know I've said this before, Kev, but have never been given a satisfactory answer. Why is "bugger" not expurgated while "f**k" is? Can you put your analytical brain to this linguistic dilemma?
