January 10, 201511 yr Fwiw I think it's interesting and unique but I hope Krc-fan realises that he can post in other threads and become more involved in the wider site.

January 11, 201511 yr I have probably visited thread about 50 times, and I still don't know what it is about.

January 31, 201511 yr I have been away for over a month visiting friends and family in the UK. But I am now home and at my trusty old keyboard again. It is cold and wet here at the moment, but at least there is no snow or ice. How's the weather in Belgium?
January 31, 201511 yr Winter is coming......... hail, wind and rain today.. I fear the White Walkers may soon invade my land.
February 2, 201511 yr Author Yes. And so the little girl walked on her naked feet, which were quite blue with the cold. In an old apron she carried several packages of matches, and she ...
February 2, 201511 yr ...lit them all and flew straight to Heaven in the arms of an angel. And in the morning the Little Matchgirl's body was found on the pavement. I never understood why this was thought to be a suitable story for children!
February 3, 201511 yr Author Awful, Moi. Awful. Her sis. Twenty-five years later. 'Come inside, and warm yourself by the fire', says the man from Genk. He's a good man! He's always willing to help others. He sees her naked feet which were quite blue with the cold. And he likes the colour blue. 'Please.' 'Come inside.' 'Thank you' , she says very, very, very sensual. She enters the room. Her hips slowly swaying.

Her hips slowly swaying. You smutty boy!! The Little Matchgirl was a CHILD!!!!!!! (Oh sorry, I've just realised it was her sister 25 years later who let herself be seduced by the man from Genk in return for having warm feet!) Seriously though, I think stories like this were written in the days when the death of a child in the family was quite a common thing, so in fact if the children read stories about children who died and went to heaven it was quite reassuring. The Little Matchgirl is a Hans Christian Andersen story, by the way. Like The Ugly Duckling..and you know what happened to him, don't you? Edited February 3, 201511 yr by moi
February 3, 201511 yr For months and months now I've wanted to ask what this thread is about, but I've been too scared to; it would be like gate-crashing a private party. But now I must know. What's going on?? What are you talking about??
February 3, 201511 yr For months and months now I've wanted to ask what this thread is about, but I've been too scared to; it would be like gate-crashing a private party. But now I must know. What's going on?? What are you talking about?? In this bit we are talking about The Little Matchgirl, by Hans Christian Andersen. But I have to admit I have absolutely no idea sometimes, what prompts KRC to make the posts he does. But I humour him because he wants to improve his English, so that's OK by me. But I do wish he would enter other threads as well! But I have given up trying to cajole him into that.
