Roman got the hump then ?

Forgive me if i come across as being negative but has Roman got the serious HUMP ??

Recent events suggest , [or it could be my imagination] , that he's lost interest . Going missing for games , [ok he could have business elsewhere] , his lack of communication with J.M., not showing any emotion when J.T. was being stretchered off , not even a hand clap from him considering those beside him were joining in , even Arsenal fans showed respect , his failure [ if reports are correct ] to visit the dressing rooms after the game , i didnt see him smiling after the result .

Just curious

my personal feeling is that he is clueless about the game and has no heart for it. I remember when he first took over whenever we scored I felt, and it looked as though somebody has to prompt him to stand up and clap. He always looks blank for a few seconds as if he has no idea what is going on and reminds me of when I first used to take my kids to Chels and they would ask what was going on, and didnt get excited about the game till they began to understand it.

I really don't think he understands football as in the actual game not the business of it.

As much as it pains me to say this, but im starting to think these rumours of a massive fallout between Mourinho and Abramovich has something to it.

Exactly my thoughts.

Mourinho said the 5 air punches he did (relating to how many cups Chelsea have won whilst he's been in charge) after the CC final wasn't a signal to Roman.

Then the statement by Mourinho about theres only two ways he'll leave Chelsea in the summer, making it clear to everyone that if he leaves in the summer it will be because Roman does not want him at Chelsea anymore.

Just have to wait and see and hope he's still here next season.

If it came down to a straight choice between Roman & Jose, for me it would be Bye-bye Roman, thanks for all you've done.

Would be good to see Mourinho still achieve success on a "normal" budget.

I think thats half the trouble, Roman wants to be up there in the populatiry stakes, but Jose is the one who's doing the winning.

When's the last time the 'ROMAN ABRAMOVICH' echoed around the ground.

At the time of their so-called dispute the Chelsea fans sung 'Stand up for the special one' at the Wigan game.

Was it a coincidence Roman missed the next 6 matches?

I would also choose Jose over Roman for purely for football reasons alone

Would also be good to see if Jose's legendary love of Chelsea would survive Roman's departure.

I'm not sure we could handle life without Roman's cash at the moment. Not without selling quite a few of our players. ?80mil losses last season? I don't want Jose to go, but we'd be in deep doo-doo if Roman left now. If we get a new manager now, we'd be back to buying about five players next summer, because who ever came to replace Jose would have to be a high profile manager who has his own vision of his perfect team and I'm pretty sure he'd want to bring a load of his own favourite players to make the team his team. And I bet Jose would take a load of his favourite players from Chelsea to the club he moves to after being sacked. It'd be a nightmare. icon_eek.gif

BTW...wasn't Roman's son in the dressing room on Sunday. I haven't seen any footage but I've heard he was and I've read that Roman paid a visit too, but wasn't there when JT came. Not sure, though. Roman rarely gives interviews, so it's difficult to know what he thinks. I hope he knows what's best for the club and Jose will still be at Chelsea next season.

If there is any hope of trying to make Chelsea a financially self-sufficient club, we need to keep building the squad with a long term approach, rather than just having a new manager and another shopping spree next summer. Kenyon should know this and I think Roman's clever enough to know this. He hasn't got where he is now by making daft decisions.

Jose's done well this season. I mean with all the injuries we've had and we've already won one trophy and we're still in the fight for three other trophies. Next season with a proper pre-season and hopefully a lot less injuries, we should be stronger than ever. Sheva should have adapted to the English game properly and we've got a load talented kids coming through the ranks. If Jose stays, I'd say we've got a pretty bright future ahead of us, but if Jose leaves, I can see it becoming a bit of a disaster.

I'm counting on Roman and Kenyon to see the light! 128.gif

Chelsea v Norwich was the last time Chelsea fans sang that. Theres still support for Roman but if we lose Jose this summer i don't know how the fans will react. Lets hope we don't have to find out.

But isn't that one of the games Roman missed?

Anyway the reaction from the fans if JM was sacked.......they'd make him a martyr by singing his name everyweek.

Now Roman and Kenyon certainly wouldn't like that. Especially if we wasn't doing so well!!!

I'm not 100% sure if he was there or not but the MHL still pointed to the west stand and sang his name.

If Jose was sacked and Chelsea didn't do well then the fans probably would sing Jose's name but if we did well the new manager, whoever that would be, would be embraced and like Ranieiri, Jose would be in the past.

If Roman pulled out , what mulitmillionaire would step in ?

Were a BIG business and with wealthy people all over the world eager to buy a football club , Chelsea would be a dream buy for any billionaire considering our location , hight profile , recent success and worldwide fan base growing everyday .

Caution is needed in how the club deals with J.M. as already stated , certain players could easily jump ship to follow Jose to which ever club he may end up at , and there are 1 or 3 players that we just wont ever replace so i thinkthe club should take that on board .

Well I am talking from Moscow.. not that it means I know any better but I do have some moscow freinds ( I am here on business, bloody misreable this time of year!)

Anyway the romour I get here is that Roman is a bit of a stooge ? he is a a cover for someting bigger and more corrupt.. Well as Lauren has suggested and judging by the vacant look on his face most the time I could well believe it !

But I have to say I am disappointed at fellow Chelsea fans.. .it doesnt matter if he is pissed off does it? Two senarios can happen

1. he pisses off and someone else will snap us up, proably not with such deep pockets but still, anyone with a bit of cash would be mad not too !

2. He pisses off and we go down the pan ! who cares ? we are Chelsea right? it don't matter if we are conference league or champions league.. please tell me I am right !!!

Relating to your first point. What makes you think someone else will 'snap us up'?

Your second point. Surely we're aloud an opinion about this particular issue and can express some concern as to what could and may happen in the next few months.

There was a related "article" on the spanish sports newspaper "AS.com" the other day:

ABRAMOVICH: "CREO QUE EN VERANO SE IR? MOURINHO" (Abramovich: I believe Mourinho will go in the Summer)

Babelsfih translation thumbsdown.gif :

"Roman Abramovich has only taken two months in realizing of which the crisis of offices that is lived in Stamford Bridge is certain. Multimillionaire Siberian, that saw the last week how it stopped being the richest Russian on the Earth, has or the certainty that Mourinho, as or advanced AS to them in world-wide exclusive right, will leave the club next the 30 of June. The proprietor of the Chelsea mainly has the fly behind the ear by a question: "Before the Press, Jose does not do more than to say than it has contract until 2010 and that it does not think to leave, but whenever they interrogate to him not it shows butcher. Still s?la has not said nor to one time that remains, simply ". For this reason, Abramovich is resigned. "All this has taken to a conclusion, that Mourinho will leave del club in whatever finishes the season although it has contract until 2010", assured the Russian tycoon."

To be honest the way things have gone in the past for our supporters.....

We have all had to learn,to roll with the punches.

I look at it,like this.........

I'm not bothered who stays and who go's!!

If you pin you your hopes on these people.....

..... 9 times out of 10,they let you down.

You couldn't have for-seen the club's present situation,it just happened!

For better or for worse these things will just happen!

Look at Le*ds!!

Sh*t happens!

That's football and that's life!!

In one hundred years of Chelsea football.......Predictability is NOT something we are famous for!!

Whatever happens were still Chelsea!

Enjoy it...........

Rob
