Wondering if this would work outside of UK. To which satellite you have to aim your dish? Would Astra 2A work? If I remember correctly there are Sky channels on it.

Essentially Sky and BT Sport (more recently) are the only broadcasters in the UK for premier league football.

Everyone here gets 'freeview' which is a pretty standard, non cable and free to air tv service.

If you want to watch premier league and other football you have 4 choices

> Pay BSKYB aka Sky Sports a monthly subscription - circa £50 ($80) a month and you'll get probably 5 matches a weekend, some of which may not always be premier league

> Pay BT Sport £15 (I think) a month to get the same, although they are a little more up and coming, dont have as much... its free (probably for this season only) if you have their broadband

> Pay them both a lot of money

> Buy an illegal sky box f5 and pay £50 a year and get more sport that you can shake a stick at, including 3pm games

However there is a network setting on it and you essentially put in a few details, connect to a server and you're set.

Sounds like a state law we have in Colorado surrounding fireworks. It's legal to buy a truckload but illegal to actually set them off. Not that I am into fireworks or setting them off but I just never found the logic in this one. Tax revenue is all I can come up with...

Do you know anything about satellite dishes? I don't have a satellite dish but they don't seem too expensive to buy. I live on the top floor of quite a tall building with a balcony so I'm thinking I could buy one of those compact free-standing dishes and just stick it outside on the balcony, and I guess I could figure out which direction to point it in just by looking  at where everybody else in the neighbourhood is pointing theirs...
