November 16, 201411 yr Yeah London has changed and grown. Still a tough place Funnily enough, that Millwall area is probably the least changed (speaking of the social demographics).

November 17, 201411 yr Where we playing Millwall are did your paths just pass. Sounds like a nice scarf. How's the head lol No, this happened in Hockley Essex (near Southend) on a Thursday night after a Disco at the local Youth Centre!.Couple of weeks previously one of our lot had a cousin (wall fan) who lived in South London. He came down for a visit and brought a mate who called himself 'Mac the knife' (LOL). He was really gobby, and one of our lot gave him a hiding. His departing words were that he was one of Harry Trixies (Harry the Dog) mob, and he'd get them all down here to turn us over. Yeah, yeah we said and thought nothing of it. 2 weeks later he did, there was around 18 of them!. Came down on the train!. Remember one of his crew was a fat geezer called George Cook, who a few months later we spotted in Southend. What he was doing there i've no idea, but he went home with a few bruise's!.

November 18, 201411 yr I went home and away since the Mids 70's to the earl 2000's and the mob we had in the early eights was the best for me ,then days loads of us use to travel to place lick Oldham & Newcastle on the British Rail Inter city trains that way we could get off any where along the route. Or City Centre why the special always got taken to the Station near the ground. Which was no good for us. Good old days we had some great fun back then.
November 30, 201411 yr Did you know the guy with the glasses and rollneck? The one who wanted to stick a pint glass in a Northerner's facking head?his name was bobby woolford, he gave it but he could back it up as well.
December 19, 201411 yr Loved early to mid 80s The millwall game remember them just before kick off giving it some and getting run out of the west.into the north and setting fire to everything they could . And don't forget cambridge away first game of the season when the general was in all the newspapers what a mob that plus pop robson scoring the winner.on his debut and brighton in the cup bank holiday weekend the rows started on the friday night , and finished with us all over the pitch and the old bill running everywhere
January 7, 201511 yr Knew most of them as a few of them drank in my local which was called the Squire in them days the lad with the big hair and glasses was Billy Piummer young lad was Gary Roberts usually got on with them well except of course around September 1976 when there was a couple of rows between our pub the Saxon which was Chels and the Squire I remember one Sunday night Little Tommy from Paddington (RIP) and a few others came over for a drink the Millwall lot came up from the squire and ran most of our mob up the road to Lower Sydenham station I got done pretty bad with a glass luckily I had one of the thick wrap round cardigans on which took most of it as they tried to do me in the back funny enough was drinking with them a couple of weeks later as if nothing had happened funny old game football eh!! That was the norm Steve remember the northbrook with Millwall and aving cass pennant on the door never helped did it now i would say 1970s right up to the 80s was the best until it become trendy to be a chelseaa thug
January 27, 201511 yr I'm from Southend and when I worked on the door of the Ivy House on the seafront I had a run in with Harry the Dog and a few of his chaps. Happy days.
February 10, 201511 yr Early 80's without a doubt. Far better organisation and sheer numbers took many teams by surprise. The North Stand boys in the mid/late 70's, Gate 17 had the Bridge a reputation but it is fair to say our general support in numbers never met our away in terms of ratio to the opposition. In the early 80's (as someone who was part of the Chelsea firms in the late 70's to early 90's when CCTV made us mere mortals) have to say the fashion, the special scene and organisation made it our strongest.
