I've had this account for a while now, but I have never posted. I'm 22 years old and attend LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Hoping to go to veterinary school next year. I usually post on the /r/chelseafc on Reddit, but it gets sort of boring during international break. I don have one question. I'm attending the West Ham match on Boxing Day and I was wondering if my seat is any good. I'm Shed Lower Row 8 Seat 208. Do y'all think my view will be restricted in any way? Also it is my first trip to London. Any tips for my trip would be great!

Welcome.  I've sat in the Shed Lower in the past, and think I was more than 8 rows back..had a restricted view where I was, but you should be ok at only row 8.

I've never traveled more south in the USA than Washington DC, but I must say that Baton Rouge is an excellent name. It may not be AT ALL reality, but to me invokes balmy honeysuckle-y nights, cocktails with green leafy things in them, and mysterious narrow alleys hiding the entrance to mum-n-dad Cajun restaurants...

I know, I should stay away from 1930s C-novels :-)

I nearly went there once.  We were in the States staying with my brother in law in Brooklyn, did a weekend in Boston and then went down to New Orleans for week or so we hoped.  We has our first night in New Orleans booked hoping to extend it once we got there only to find out there was a dentists convention and a football match on the same time, the city was completely booked up and the closest we could find was Baton Rouge.  The B&B we were booked in was brilliant (The Glimmer Inn) run by two Rolling Stones fans in the Garden District and they spoke with the other residents who had booked months ago to rearrange thing so we could stay there, my wife was banged up at the time with our first son.

 

Spanish moss and graveyards is my memory of that part of the USA as well as wonderful people.
