Eva Carneiro

Her salary may not have anything to do with the incident, but the fact that she was offered a rise certainly does.

It's like this. Employee gets upset, threatens legal action.

Employer offers pay rise.

Employee refuses pay rise, opts for legal action.

Of course she is well within her rights to do so, but turning down a pay rise of such magnitude is bound to cast doubts on her motivation.

Note: I'm not attempting to pass judgement here - how could I without knowing the full facts of the case? No I'm merely making the point that Eva Carneiro is either extremely principled or extremely greedy. There is no middle ground.

Agree, we do know, however, that she is privileged unlike many.

Maybe the privileged need to take a stand against bullying in the workplace, so that the underprivileged can find the courage to do likewise.  I wish that Fearn had had the courage to stand up and be counted.

I still think she's kind of cute.

And I still find Jose extremely cute!!  But if he tried to bully me I would go for the jugular!!

The claim that she was "berated and sexually harassed" by Jose is interesting and potentially huge accusation.

Does that imply she is saying that he was trying to get in her pants?!

I would have thought the opposite. Someone who accepts a pay-off seems to be more motivated by money, whereas someone who opts to go to court instead clearly believes they have a strong case and are seeking some further justice and vindication. Carneiro turning down the pay rise is a sign that her legal team think a) she can get a bigger compensation package and b) she has a very good chance of winning this court case

Being a battled scarred Chelsea fan, used to the club courting scandal and controversy every season, I wonder how United fans are feeling at the moment. Sam Delaney, paper reviewer and West Ham supporter on Sky this morning, was giving Eamoln Holmes a bit of stick over this issue, despite Chelsea being dragged through the mire yet again, it really is all about Mourinho as far as the press are concerned.

I must confess to feeling a sense of schaudenfraude, that those classy footballing aristocrats are getting just a small taste of the roller coaster that comes with employing Mourinho. And even though this happened while he was our manager, the stench of it will be lingering up at Old Trafford as well.

What is the likely outcome for these kind of cases? Will it be Mourinho getting in trouble or will it just be Chelsea paying for Mourinho's trouble and him getting off with nothing more than a bit of bad press?

Both really, but the club has a duty of care to manage over all employees, so the club will be hit financially.

Its all Jose's doing though.

Unfortunately courage doesn't buy an employment barrister of about £500 or so an hour. Let's hope Eva's motive is as you say Moi.

Can you imagine the shame for Jose if he has said a load of dodgy stuff by text !!

We will know soon...

I think it highly unlikely, but again who knows.

I can't seem to post the link, but please sign and share. A friend of the duchess had to drop her claim.

The Journalists on twitter seem to think a settlement is in the offing...Perhaps Mou would prefer not to have his dirty linen aired in public, or maybe Manu told him to behave.

Like I said, I wouldn't be surprised if Man U told made settlement of this part of his contract. It was always going to be an unpleasant mud slinging exercise.

And you can bet the Chelsea hierarchy will take the blame, for not calling him to heel.

Not sure why Chelsea included Mourinho's apology in their statement, they should have made him make his own statement.
