John Harley was certainly one, but wasn't Poyet a complete b*stard to him?  If anything went wrong, Poyet was known to berate John on the pitch, and I believe that totally shot his confidence.

Sturridge...well, I remember a Man Cuty fan coming on here after we signed him saying about how he though he was billy big bollocks and that we'd have trouble with him. 

We didn't really ever have trouble with Sturridge though, he only left due to lack of playing time

How about Joe Cole?

Yeah sure, he didn't leave in the best of circumstances nor did he tear up trees at Liverpool, but a fully fit, in form Joe Cole may have made all the difference in our 2010-11 "bad moment". It may well have saved Ancelotti's job.

Betrand had a good game against us last time we played, I think he will cause us problems for a few more years. Joe Cole, Ballack, Duff, all could have stayed for another year, even past their best could still be very useful. 

I'm not fussed about KDB. His performance away at Sunderland in the league cup is up there with the most pathetic lazy things I've seen from a Chelsea player, made even worse by the fact this was his last chance to show something for us. Not since that Scolari 3-0 Man U loss have I seen such willful laziness from those in blue.

yeah, agreed that we never really had a problem with him, but the point was more that he'd want first team playing because he thought he was that good.

To be fair to him he proved he was, bar injuries the lad is class. Also he was easily a damn site better than Torres who was here at the time.

I remember his last 10 games or so and mentioned at the time that he had those games to save his chelsea career. Well we know what happened.I dont think a fully fit in form Joe Cole would have made a difference.

Yeah but my point is he was hardly at his physical best that season. Given time to properly recuperate he would've made, at the very very least, an excellent impact sub and squad player.

Robben is the only one I can think of. I use to think Sturridge also but after this season not so much.
