Anyone know when our Adidas sponsorship is up?

The sponsorship is up in 2023. It's interesting that United have a better deal with Adidas than we do, maybe the contract with Adidas won't last until 2023.

Why is it "interesting"? Man United is a bigger brand than ours and so it makes sense that they have bigger deals.

Theirs may be newer than ours for one. Also very likely they sell more shirts, thats what nearly 20 years of winning gets you

There's also the data to be considered behind our deal, and the comings and goings of Adidas and Nike.

 

Imagine that there is significant data about Chelsea sales of Adidas shirts?  Man U could use that, and their brand size to negotiate a better deal.  The data is out there surely, and data effects everything these days.

 

Also, and this isn't fully vetted yet, but Adidas are getting ready to sell off their golfing division "Taylor Made, Adams, etc" to the Nike company.  So you've got to imagine that's going to cost Nike a pretty penny and could be looking to give up the Man U sponsorship.  Nike could of, however still been part of the conversations 

Happy with being second, no one will ever beat Man Utd which is fair enough, probably the second biggest club in the world brand wise etc.
