Matthew Hardings blue and white army !!!!!!!!!!!!

19 years today since he sadly left us.

Would of loved to of seen him and Jose having some banter.

When it happened I was only young so I didn't really know who he was. I still as I do when anyone dies felt a certain sadness, it was the same when Princess Diana died there was a sadness around. Can't really explain it.

For those who were young or not born at the time, Matthew invested millions into the club in 94 when we were skint and had just been hammered in our first FA cup final for 24 years by manyoo. 

 

Three years later in 97 we were back at Wembley with Gullit as manager, and players like Zola, Vialli and Di Matteo at the club, we won 2-0 and the beginning of the current era of success was under way.

 

He was pivotal in our clubs history.

Did Matthew Harding give Chelsea money or was it loaned. Did he pay for the MH Stand.

 

There is no doubt that he helped Chelsea but I was never sure exactly how and what he invested.

 

I remember it kicked of big time between Harding and Bates and even back then I was never quite sure what their big fall out was about.

Having said that, RIP Mr Harding, cant believe its been 19 years.

As far as I'm aware it was loan he gave for the north stand

19 years that's scary remember the news that morning I actually cried . I wonder does he's wife Ruth still get looked after by the club. Shortly after he's death we played man utd at old Trafford the bar stewards made helicopter noises and movements. Luca soon shut them up

Considering man utds own history with air disasters you'd think they would understand abit more.

The game a few days later against the spuds was a very emotional day indeed.

Fair play the spuds were impeccably behaved .

The moment just before ko when a fan climbed out the North stand strolled head bowed to the middle of the pitch and placed a pint of Guinness on the centre circle was amazing.

From what i recall, MH was prepared to give money to the club as we needed a boost to move forward but wanted to own part of the club in exchange. KB was never going to let anyone share the club. Arguments followed and KB kicked him out of the East stand/Directors box.

The money was only a loan in the end.

Not sure MH had enough to buy KB out though. 

Both had their good & bad points. Never going to a happy marriage though.
