December 14, 201510 yr I'd prefer if he just did what he's paid millions of pounds a year to do, and get something better out of this squad. But if Roman fires him now, I can't really have any complaints.
December 14, 201510 yr roman .is in a no win situation....after pulling the trigger far to easily on previous managers , he his giving jose every chance to turn things round but in all reality it isn't going to happen....so what is the answer..the season is over ....bring in a interim coach no point...who can we attract mid season. to think of long term....no one.....very difficult for the owner....just accept its a season to forget..
December 14, 201510 yr His time is up. It's clear he cannot turn this around. Mourinho is a manager who only brings short term success if there are funds and if the transfer market is favorable at the time, and for this he will never be remembered on the same level as Alex Ferguson or maybe even Arsene Wenger if he wins the league this season. Thanks for the memories but it's time to go, again, return to Portugal and put your feet up until the England job becomes available. Strangely enough I can see Mourinho thriving as England manager after Roy Hodgson as he will have the pick of England's best players for a squad where price is literally no object. Roman needs to go to Carlo, hat-in-hand, and ask him to return. I have far more faith in Carlo to build a strong squad for the future than I do Mourinho.
December 14, 201510 yr Can't we just keep all the Mourinho talk in the one thread - we don't need a new thread for every opinion, it just leads to duplication.
December 15, 201510 yr roman .is in a no win situation....after pulling the trigger far to easily on previous managers , he his giving jose every chance to turn things round but in all reality it isn't going to happen....so what is the answer..the season is over ....bring in a interim coach no point...who can we attract mid season. to think of long term....no one.....very difficult for the owner....just accept its a season to forget.. I agree with most of what you said but Roman simply cant allow the club to be relegated and that's the real risk with doing nothing.
December 15, 201510 yr This would be the most justified sacking since Abramovich took over. Yes we won the league last season...but this season, we have not only failed to contest for the title again, we're not contesting for a spot in Europe...we're only contesting to stay out of the relegation zone. It's ludicrous. If any manager, at an time in the past 12 years deserves to get sacked based on results, it's Mourinho...this year. I don't want it to happen...not many seem to want it to...but if we wait a few months, expecting it to change, and it doesn't...it'll be unavoidable surely?
