Well, Chelsea did it once, they can do it again. Remember the time when Chelsea finished six, below Newcastle, and Everton finished 4th but Chelsea won the Champions league....? Well Chelsea knocked 4th place out of the Champions league qualifiers (Everton into Europa league) Just Imagine this..... Chelsea finishing 10th, winning the Champions League, and knocking 4th place into the Europa. Who would this team be, well, I want it to be, based on the team, Man City. But the sad end to the fairy tale story is if Leicester finish 4th. I don't think Leicester will finish below 4th... Because a couple of weeks ago was a mile stone. The record (sorta) was whoever was top of the BPL at that point, so the beginning of December, doesn't finish below 4th at the end of the season.

We had a different team then, more leaders, more experience.

Also it was Spurs we knocked into the EL not Everton.

Tottenham finished 4th.

Delusion I'm sad to say.

The team that won the CL had more bottle, steel and desire than this sorry lot we have today.

CL is soon to be over for us for at least a season starting in the summer.

Next year will be like that time we got knocked into the Europa league, without all the thursday night trips to the edges of europe.

There is a possibility that we can make it happen,  We are in the knock out phase of the tournament and we have played better football in this tournament.

 

If we somehow manage to beat PSG I truly believe we will be able to use that momentum to become serious contenders.

We are more likely to be playing in the Championship next season than in the CL...Sorry to sound negative but that's my take on it.

My bad it was Spurs. Plus it was the 04/05 season where Liverpool won the Champs league, Everton finished 4th which. It didn't drop Everton to the Europa but Everton did need to qualify from the third round to the Champs League.
