Agreed ShedEnder, I guess for the benefit of PloKoon and Yorkley, the next time we are losing at home this season and lacking any sort of passion and determination, everyone including me should just roll our sleeves up and have the standard glass half full, positive attitude. I'm tired of reading how people being pessimistic this season are supposedly bad supporters, what is there to be positive about exactly? Watching mercenaries kick a ball around with zero passion, it's because I'm so passionate myself that I'm so angry with these players and find myself lacking motivation to cheer them on.

And that is it right there. We often get people moaning at us for being angry and annoyed during games, it's not like we are any less of a fan though, we just want the best from the club. When the club perform like they have done for the last season, i don't see how anybody can moan at the fans for their disappointment. We have gone from Champions to a mid table team in less than a year. We are talking about the worst defense of a Premier League title ever here, of course people are going to be annoyed.

We get called ungrateful a lot........i don't see that at all, what i see is ambition from fans to be the best. With the resources we have had for the last decade i see nothing wrong with having these ambitions. Chelsea fans have had to live with not competing with the best for the majority of the club's existence, now that we have the resources to do that, we should be allowed to feel ambitious and annoyed if it goes wrong. Some people say things like "i'm happy as long as we don't get relegated" and it's fine to think that way, but you people that moan at us for being ungrateful and not a true fan when we moan at results, well i could say you lack ambition for the club and don't care enough for us to be the best we can be. I don't think this way by the way, but we could throw the "not a true fan" accusation at you just as easily if we wanted to.

People moan about us moaning on here and say we aren't true fans, well, i am getting a bit sick of it to be honest. Over the last 17 years one of my greatest passions in life has been Chelsea Football Club. If i didn't care, i wouldn't invest so much of my time into the club, the same goes for pretty much everyone else on here.

Very harsh.

What I see here is a community of supporters who spend the week in between matches obsessing over the club, and dreaming of what could be in the next match. Every week you get people who speak excitedly about the future and at 2pm on a Saturday they get the same old lack of ambition.

Supporting a club isn't a one-way street. You don't nail your colours to the mast of a team and then sing from the same hymn sheet. Clubs are community projects and they're run by humans. Humans are fallible. This club at this point in time aren't firing the imaginations of the supporters, they're not lighting a fire in them and they're not giving them something to dream about.

If people want to moan about that then they're more than entitled to and that doesn't mean their support is lacking heart because lacking heart or emotion for the club would make this easier. If people didn't care then that's when you worry. Frustration, anger, disappointment....they're all things humans feel and will express and what they don't need is denigrating because it's not flag-waving positivity.

After this train wreck of a season I can completely understand why the fanbase (or parts of it - we're not all of the same opinion after all) aren't exactly enthused about our fortunes, but it really goes over-the-top at times, and often the criticism is completely without foundation.

I don't think "flag-waving positivity" would be appropriate given the circumstances, but then neither is extreme, pre-emptive pessimism and the torrent of abuse aimed at our players (who often haven't done anything wrong). I really think that there is some sort of balance to be struck; the inevitable entrenchment between the 'things aren't that bad/we've seen far worse' group and the 'things are unacceptable and Oscar/Emenalo/Hazard/Courtois/Ivanovic/Mikel (etc.) are a complete disgrace to the shirt' group will get and have gotten very tiresome otherwise.

(Disclaimer)

Obviously everyone is free to say and think what they want. This is just my point of view.

Fans pay a lot of money to go to football games/merchandise which is paying towards these footballers massive wages. When you see Costa, fabregas and Hazard not putting in any effort and they earn the money do it takes the p***. Specially the first two who decided to up there game once the manager got sacked but Hazard has decided he wants out. I guess particularly with me is with someone like Iva is his played s*** most of the year but he never gets dropped. Same with Oscar, I can't remember the last good game. The fans would love to see RLC get some good mins, like Alli with Spurs and it gets fans excited and off there seats seeing a talented British youngster playing.
