March 19, 201610 yr Only saw second half. Not sure how cahill is a better option than jt at centre back next season. Awful defending for goal, pretty much made the angle for the pass. Traore and rlc should both have started, so should baba aswell. Nothing but pride to play for now. Remy and oscar shouldn't play in a chelsea shirt again.
March 19, 201610 yr played really well second half, crisp passing with great movement off the ball, plenty of cjhances created, pedro m.o.t.m.i,m a glass half full merchant.
March 19, 201610 yr That was a really good game in which we were ultimately the better team, despite some of the embarrassing comments on here. We also saw very encouraging cameos from Loftus-Cheek and Traoré. Was good to see JT back in the starting XI; I thought the full-backs were poor though (Azpilicueta worse than Ivanovic).

March 19, 201610 yr Same here in Holland. Can't say I blame them :-( Kenyan tv has all the games, on different South African channels. Sitting in a bar watching Chels v the pikeys on one TV, And Liecester v Palace, and Stoke in the other screen.
March 19, 201610 yr You are not going to believe this. My son forgot we were due to go to this game. So my husband has suggested coming instead. YOU SEE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO ME ROB - YOU DID THIS. I am due to go away with him for a short break from Sunday. If we are still married! well your bad luck got to me. I had to watch the match w/ Tony Gale commentating. I could only take 45 minutes of that crap - he is such a CFC hater it isn't even funny - you should have heard his lack of enthusiasm when Cesc scored on that beautiful free kick - immediately he was pointing at the ref for giving up 11 feet instead of 10 - what a mug!!!

What about our world class keeper?
March 19, 201610 yr Was a very enjoyable game with some good football played by both sides. Have to say, I was impressed with West Ham when they attacked us - plenty of speed and skill and we were on the rack at times. And ou just knew Carol would get on the scoresheet as soon as he came on. But we have positives from today. Thought Kenendy was really impressive - shame he had to go off at half-time. No reason we shouldn't start Kenedy, RLC and Traore in the remaining games - they all looked good. Just a shame Guus left it so late with his subs again - I really don't want to see Oscar waste any more minutes on the pitch. Very disappointed with Courtois again. A top keeper should be saving that second one and perhaps should have done better on the first too. Glad we salvaged a point, but it should have been all 3.

I listened to Sky Sports news and watched the game, i can't stand listening to Tony Gale anymore. I wonder how the American Chelsea fan's feel about his bias. I would be trying to get them to remove him.
March 19, 201610 yr Sorry but you are clearly trying to paper over the rather obvious cracks. Performance was okay... but 'not bad' seems to be a recurring theme atm - i'd prefer to watch awful performances but winning games. I still think that unless we see an overhaul of the playing staff next season will be more of the same. Edited March 19, 201610 yr by the special one
March 19, 201610 yr Gale seems to commentate on every game I watch on a stream. He usually spends the whole game slagging us off, but today he only had eyes for his former team. Nothing to say about us all game. At the end he claimed they had controlled the game and had the best chances. I'd quite like to show him the match stats to prove to him he wasn't actually watching. He didn't seem to notice Kenedy getting smacked in the face, but spent quite a while appealing for a yellow card for RLC after Willian booted the ball upfield after that bullsh*t call for handball against Fabregas. At least Courtois finally stopped a shot today, from Payet's late free kick. I think that breaks a run of several games when every opposition shot seems to have gone in. You just knew the carthorse would score when he came on. Horribly scuffed shot but that's all it takes to beat Courtois in a one on one these days. Really good game today. Some good performances on our side. Good to see that they are still putting the effort in despite having nothing to play for. Edited March 19, 201610 yr by Backbiter

March 19, 201610 yr Think Hiddink is teasing us by playing Ivan every game. That guy is just done at the top level and cannot be our next captain. Will hand it to Cesc and sell Ivan to China
March 19, 201610 yr btw what is up w/ Andy Carrol? I thought this dude was retired. What they get him out of the closet to play against CFC? He only seems to score against us.

Good day out.
March 19, 201610 yr We consolidated 10th place :),Guus is proud of yet another draw at home and he is reminding the press how he saved us from relegation. The players are going home being proud they didn't lose, because this is what required at Chelsea these days. Once home they check their bank account to make sure they received the much deserved 150-200k payment for this week " work " and they suddenly feel relaxed. Emenalo wasn't watching the game because he was on the phone with some agents selling average players we don't need at inflated prices. Roman tried the whole game to call Mourinho to apologize but no one was answering. The team playing in Chelsea shirts looked like Reading on a rainy day and he double checked with his advisors he is not attending a charity game for retired players but it's in fact a PL game where the team he bought 13 years ago is playing. The answer depressed him so we went online to buy another yacht to make him feel better. Satisfied supporters poured out of Stamford Bridge, thinking what a great value for money that game was. And I am waiting any minute now to wake up from this nightmare...
March 19, 201610 yr looking back on that I think that if we actually had something to play for you'd have to consider dropping Courtois - but as we don't have anything to play for we might as well persist with him and hope he finds himself in time for next season (if he stays!) on the back four - it is time to get Ivan out of the RB spot. Let's play Baba LB with Azpi at RB and then go with Ivan/Terry or Cahill in the middle. midfield - it's got to be Mikel plus RLC next up Kenedy has to play, Fabregas gets my vote after that second half and I guess we stick with Willian: we could play around with RLC and Fabregas to see which option has the most impact if Costa isn't available I'd like to see Traore start but otherwise it has to be Diego as first pick

We also saw very encouraging cameos from Loftus-Cheek and Traoré. Was good to see JT back in the starting XI; I thought the full-backs were poor though (Azpilicueta worse than Ivanovic). Look, I completely agree with your criticism of the ire that sometimes shown here, but we were far from the better team here. They had chances to kill us, and we were lucky to get away with a point. Underside of crossbar, Traore saving on the line etc. We had our moments, but West Ham were miles better going forward than us, at least I think so. We showed grit to get back, though, and I thought RLC and Traore came in and did very well; Kennedy did very well too. Fabregas was immense too. I am very happy to see him playing like a guy who wants to stay and win things with us. Now for the inevitable negatives. Oscar was woeful. I won't even go into what I think about him this season as a whole, but a player having a bad game like should simply be taken off. Tibo should have picked out that lame shot from Caroll I think too. Finally, they have way, way too much space in front of Terry and Cahill, who didn't cope very well at all today. Oh and Ivan at right back? Ok, he had a few good crosses for once, but he does not play well there anymore! End off. In the end, given where we are in the season. I am happy to see some of the youngsters getting to show what they're made off.
March 19, 201610 yr West Ham are a good side, on good form, playing good football, and we matched them by playing good football in what was an exciting attacking game which would have been fun to watch for a neutral.Yes Chelsea of last season would not be happy with this draw but we aren't playing well with a lot of players off form so a draw is not a bad result especially as we showed passion playing good attacking football which is all I can currently ask for.If we could only learn how to defend against the counter attack we would be well up there.
March 19, 201610 yr It's so obvious for virtually everyone that that back four is not working anymore. I find it difficult to understand how and why two top managers like Jose and Guus were respectively are still willing to play them in that formation. That's so stupid that it is actually an indefensible strategy. Considering that we approached this game with a handicap I am very happy with the result. Edited March 19, 201610 yr by Uxanga
