Posted March 14, 20169 yr So the season is over for us trophy wise. Now comes the decision of whether you want us in the Europa league or not next year. I am in the 'No' camp. Having said that, there are still a few games left this year that I would love to win, this being one of them. Can see RLC and Traore starting. Edited March 14, 20169 yr by Blue Exile
March 14, 20169 yr Play the youngsters! This is the time now and if we don't play them now we never will. The season is completely shot and we don't have much to play for so I wonder whether the mentality of the players will reflect this now but it's not as if they've showed up for most the season anyway. I'm tipping a draw as a conservative estimate as West Ham are playing well and pushing top four and our record at Stamford Bridge under Guus has been atrocious. Edited March 14, 20169 yr by Jezz
March 14, 20169 yr Expect to see the same XI yet again despite having nothing to play for. Expect to see yet another score draw at home. But Guus has the longest undefeated streak in the league though. So, y'know. There's that. Which is nice... I guess?
March 14, 20169 yr mikel's just 205 goals shy away from frank's record, so why not start now  begovic/amelia baba jt cahill kenedy rlc matic traore-hazard-pato mikel  and we could sneak in falcao on the 30th minute and play with 12 dudes! i mean it's not like anybody will notice anyway   man this season sucks
March 14, 20169 yr Surely you have to just forget about the consequences of the europa league and aim to finish as high up the table as possible. If the team have clicked into season is over mode West ham will win this easily. Could really do with JT back for this one but that then means ivanovic at right back?
March 14, 20169 yr Courtois  Baba Terry Ivanovic Azpilicueta  RLC Matic  Kenedy Hazard Pedro  Traore
March 14, 20169 yr I would like to see Chelsea finishing as up in the table as possible, and I'd also like to see Chelsea in Europe even if it is in the Europa League. It is not the CL, but it is also a European trophy and it has quite a few good teams playing it (some of the knockout matches are stronger than a Wolfsburg-Gent or a Benfica-Zenith). So this coming match agains West Ham is important in order to pick up the pieces. I expect a tough game, West Ham will also play the "good old fashion tackle" game and I hope the ref sees it and puts a stop to it. I'd also play minutes to the youngsters, Traore and Kenedy have been playing well in my opinion, but I'd play Kenedy as a winger rather than as a LB.  Begovic Azpi JT Cahil Baba Mikel Fabregas Pedro William Kenedy Traore
March 14, 20169 yr Just play the kids, at least when we inevitably drop points in this game we can at least say the kids got some valuable first team football. We won't though and we will go with the same players who have failed us.
March 14, 20169 yr I'm all for Europa league next season, hopefully it will help us attract a slightly higher calibre of player than no Europe at all in the summer.  That being said i think giving youngsters game time is important now, especially RLC in the pivot.         Courtois Azpi  Ivanovic  Terry  Baba      Mikel    RLC Traore   Willian    Hazard         Pato  I've put Pato up front but in all honesty i'd rather just anyone but Remy. Could have Kenedy on either wing also, just not at left back again please god.Â
March 14, 20169 yr ---------Courtois  ---Aina  Terry  Cahill  Azpi  -----------Matic  -Fabregas----Loftus-Cheek  Willian---------------Kenedy  -----------Traore  Bench: Begovic, Ivanovic, Rahman, Mikel, Pedro, Remy, Abraham  Time to look forward to next season and the one punt I've put in there is Aina. The kid is class and could leave so let's see if he's worth fighting to keep and maybe give him a bit of encouragement.  Loftus-Cheek, Traore and Kenedy have to start in my opinion. Abraham is part of our future, moreso than I think Pato is likely to be so go with him. Miazga or Rahman is a margin call and I think Rahman is probably ahead.  I don't expect to see this. I think Hiddink maintains the status quo and looks to get a point...at home....to West Ham. That is his target I think and I expect it to be the result so it maintains an unbeaten league record for him which is terrifyingly, his greatest achievement since 2009. Edited March 14, 20169 yr by ShedEnder91
March 14, 20169 yr Our first league defeat this season for guus. West ham are flying and I expect guus picks the usual suspects who simply do not have it. I would rather we see: Begovic Ania Maziga Terry Baba Rlc Matic Traore Willian Kenedy Pato
March 14, 20169 yr Despite beating Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Everton. West Ham's away record is pretty bad. Their other away league results are- 2-2 Norwich 1-0 Southampton 2-1 Newcastle 1-3 Bournemouth 1-1 Villa 0-0 Swansea 0-0 Man United 4-1 Spurs 2-0 Watford 1-3 Palace 2-2 Sunderland That's only 2 wins.
March 14, 20169 yr Can't think of any logical reason why Loftus-Cheek, Kenedy & Traore shouldn't start every game for the rest of the season; there will surely never be a better opportunity to grant them a run of Premier League games with the added bonus of there being little pressure to deliver anything. It would be a great footing to lay for next season where one would hope they are in the next Managers plans for the squad or even the starting 11.  Might as well play Baba as well, not really sure why we signed him but whether the aim is to sell him or integrate into the starting 11 it can only be a benefit for him to get minutes.  Other than that it looks to be a fairly drab and disappointing run in. The only fun to be had now is ruining other peoples parties.
March 14, 20169 yr We expect the kids, but we won't get the kids. Â Typical Chels. There is no better time than now.Â
March 14, 20169 yr Surely somebody must be in Guus's ear telling him its perfectly fine to play some kids. Aina should be given a debut, RLC, Baba, Kenedy and Traore should all start. There's nothing left to lose but there could be a lot to gain.
March 14, 20169 yr Bring on The Kids!! Â Well, the ones who aren't out on loan anyway. RLC surely has to get some starts now and I would like to see Kenedy played further forward rather than Pedro or Hazard.
March 14, 20169 yr by playing the kids isn't it telling the players that they are replacing time is up?
March 14, 20169 yr by playing the kids isn't it telling the players that they are replacing time is up? It is isn't it?
March 14, 20169 yr At this moment in time, Pato isn't deserving of minutes. Would much rather start with Traore and have Abraham first off the bench in the striker's role. Maybe he can fill in for Hazard on the wing.
March 14, 20169 yr At this moment in time, Pato isn't deserving of minutes. Â If we don't give him any minutes, the loan will be totally pointless. At least him give him a chance to show what he can do.
March 14, 20169 yr I understand the risks in playing the kids but seriously we the fans need to be uplifted in the ground and seeing the likes of RLC, Aina, kenedy etc will give us that, but unfortunately I'll go knowing we'll play the same team, same tempo blah blah, if the kids aren't getting a chance now ffs when! May aswel bulldoze the academy and buy a £50m player each year, no commitment to youth for 20 years!...rant over.
