Harmsworth Park.

The ground is the home of Wick Academy F.C. who play in the Scottish Highland League. It the most northerly senior football club in the United Kingdom. Official capacity 2,412. Grassroots football. 

Thurso F.C. who play in the Northern Caledonian League and are nicknamed ‘The Vikings’.

Thurso itself was ‘founded and named’ by the Vikings.Although a community lived in the area prior to their arrival.

The club's home ground shown above is Sir George's Park.

Derby County v Real Madrid. European Cup, 2nd Rd, 1st Leg. 22nd October 1975.

Derby amazingly won 4-1. However they went down 5-1 in the second leg. Not sure which is the more amazing, the first leg scoreline or the fact the Baseball Ground has so much grass ?!😀

One of my cousins is in Belfast for a few days and took this photo. I can see three Chelsea stickers on the board. Apparently there was a big event in Belfast yesterday.

St Etienne hit the woodwork, during the May 1976 European Cup Final v Bayern Munich at Hampden.

The Wembley Wizards.

We had a representative in this team. Tommy Law, who played at left back. Law played only twice for Scotland and both were both against England at Wembley! He made his debut in the 5–1 game in 1928. His second and final cap, came in the same fixture two years later, though this time the Scots lost 2–5!! This, to me is a pretty amazing story. Incidentally he played all his senior football with us. Playing 318 times and scoring 19 goals.

Not sure of the year but guess that it was no later than 1971 as that was the year Tommy McLean moved from Kilmarnock to Rangers. A few with a Rangers connection and one future Chelsea player.

Boyne:Great photo. Bobby Brown the then Scotland team manager played in goal for us during World War Two. Some very good players in that photo.

A record "wartime" attendance of 139,468 watched this match. Delaney scoring Scotland's winning goal, This picture shows the England goal under threat. The vast,packed Hampden terraces are clearly shown in the background.
