Yeah it is. The photo was taken from the Kings Park end of the ground.

A small part of the Main Stand is seen on the left of the picture.

Cheers. It was the way the terrace dipped down by the stand that I thought didn't look right, was it just a large bowl shape with that one stand perched high on the terrace before this one previously?

And Hampden in 1937. This was the year the North Stand was completed.

Ground improvements by 1937 had increased the official capacity of the ground to 183,724.

A packed Hampden during the Scotland v England match of 1946 Officially a crowd of 139,468 saw this match. Add at least 20,000 to that figure.

Dennis Mortimer in action for the England B team against West Germany B in the friendly International played on a snow covered pitch in Augsburg, 21st February 1978. England won the match 2-1.  Mortimer won England Under 23 and B caps. However, he was never capped at full international level by England.
Despite this, he captained Aston Villa to the League Championship in 1980/81 and then captained them to their amazing the European Cup Final win the following season against Bayern Munich.

From the game between Scotland and England at Hampden Park in 1962. Scottish players are Eric Caldow, Jim Baxter, Pat Crerand and Davie Wilson. Wilson and Caldow scored the goals in Scotland's 2-0 win. Crerand was playing with Celtic at the time and transferred to Manchester United the following year. The others were 3 of Rangers finest ever players. Sadly no longer with us.

There is a player behind Baxter but goodness knows who it is.

Milton Park home of Banchory St Terran. Capacity 800 spectators.

Banchory St Ternan do not play in the village of Banchory, rather a few miles towards Aberdeen at Crathes.

The pitch is basically just a fenced-off field with a pavilion, but is kept neat and tidy.

The club were formed in 1992 when two sides, Banchory Amateurs and St. Ternan Amateurs, amalgamated.

After one season in the Aberdeenshire Amateur League, they successfully applied to be SJFA members. St. Ternan is the patron saint of the town.

Grassroots football in the north east of Scotland. A very scenic ground.

Banchory St Terran play in an all royal blue strip!😀

Stayed near Banchory whilst on holiday last week.

I’m sure I remember this game being shown live on tv. A rare enough event back then.
