Marco Verratti is unhappy at Paris Saint-Germain under new boss Unai Emery. That is according to Giampiero Ventura, who is preparing for his first match in charge of Italy after succeeding Antonio Conte in the job

Verratti is in Ventura's squad for a friendly with France on Thursday night and next Monday's World Cup qualifier in Israel.

But the talented midfielder only featured from the bench in his club's first two matches of the Ligue 1 campaign, before starting in Sunday's 3-1 defeat at Monaco. And Ventura says the 23-year-old is being misused in the French capital.

'In Paris, Verratti is playing just behind the strikers, but it's not the right position for him,' said Ventura.

'He is a playmaker. Also Verratti is not happy in PSG because he is playing in the wrong position.

'It's a shame because Verratti is an amazing player.'

do it chelsea, just do it, offer them matic fabregas whatever, just do it, a veratti-kante duo would be the greatest midget partnership ever since frodo and samwise gamgee

probably it's too late for it to happen, but never say never

Marco Verratti praised Italy boss Antonio Conte as “the best Coach I have ever worked with.”

“I believe Conte is the best Coach I have ever worked with,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“He is a tactician who really focuses on the details and knows absolutely everything about his opponents.
