Posted March 22, 20178 yr Says alot about the total lack of interest in our national team that there hasn't even been a thread started for an Engerlund V Ze Jermans match. For anyone interested it was effectively a Lucas Podolski testimonial in which he scored a screamer the German 3rd string had a run out, never looked arsed to get out of second gear, and yet still won without breaking sweat. It was entertaining enough. Would have liked to have seen Beckenbauer and Gerd Muller get the last 10 minutes just to stretch Engerlund a bit more. Some encouraging signs for Engerlund and if we draw Azerbaijan, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea in the world cup I would think we could be in with a shout of qualifying as group runners up. Engerlund supporters in their usual hilarious form with 10 German bombers in the air only for the equally humourous, but far more educated home fans to respond with 10 hairy Visigoths burning Rome. March 22, 20178 yr If New Zealand are at the World Cup we'll probably had to have beaten Argentina over two legs, so don't count your chickens just yet!
March 23, 20178 yr http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/39331116 Â Name obscure German footballers (one very familiar to us): 47%.
March 23, 20178 yr I watched on ITV and had to laugh at how much praise they were giving England. Changing to a back 3 is a good idea and i hope we stick with it, but i don't for a second think England will go far with with the players we have. England last night were trying their hardest to beat Germany. Germany weren't taking it serious at all and they still won. One wonder strike from Germany was enough to beat England and that is all it takes these days. England don't have winners in their side, they have a few, but a lot of them are used to losing. They don't have that superstar player either. That one superstar player can turn an average team into a winning team. Just look at Portugal. A very average team, probably worse than England, but the difference is that they have Ronaldo.
March 23, 20178 yr England defeated Germany in Berlin last year & yesterday IMHO England represented themselves in a good manner - very unlucky not to score in the first half & in the end that was the downfall of England - nothing to be shame of really
March 23, 20178 yr I turned it on. Saw Kyle Walker & Jake Livermore were wearing the Three Lions. Had a laugh and turned off. If that's the best this country has to offer then God help us.
