The squad isn’t really that thin, admittedly everyone knew Chelsea needed another LWB but City only have one LB and he got injured straight away. Not buying another LB was pretty awful really. Other than that Chelsea do need another winger but I think the squad has plenty in terms of numbers, personally IMO Conte struggles when it comes to rotation.

Due to character and charisma this should be the list with the captain's options. Dave is not even close IMO. 

Love Kante, but he doesn't seem much a character to me.
Agree with Luiz though, maybe put Fabregas in there too?

Was at this game yesterday... big  to the fans on both sides one of the best atmospheres so far this season. Huddersfield with there annoying drummer and loud hailer and our fans giving Gerrard a hard time in the tv box and singing for Joey Cole.

That was a good a solid performance from the whole squad. Thought Willian was unlucky not to get man of the match.

Just finished watching the game. Good display. Professional. 

Thought they showed a lack of ambition and could have made it harder for us had the pressed more.

Liverpool and arsenal dropping points today helps. 

Caught the highlights last night, great to see the attacking movement, felt we've lacked that previously when we employed a 3-5-2. Understand we will need that formation again yet hoping we get to see more of the 3-4-3 now.

I totally buy that idea, that and a huge offer may just persuade him to stay for the next 5 years. I don't rate Cahill as a player or Captain, he's usually the weak link in our defence, and he hasn't convinced with his leadership quality. He was the winning captain last season, but if we watch closely, JT was the Captain from the sideline. Hazard is the captain of Belgium, so he's not one to shy from responsibilities. To me, the captain has to be a key player in the team, I can't say that for Cahill.

Makes sense that Hazard could be captain as more or less he plays every time he is fit though not sure he has the grit in his character to tell a player to get his A into G when needed. Or when someone decides to overrule the assigned penalty taker he would he intervene?
