We do sign injured players. Bakayoko joined injured iirc, Pato, Barkley to an extent.  Sadly, hairline fracture is not that  big a deal. 

Yes, but he’s out for 4 weeks. So he won’t be fully fit until perhaps beginning of March and by then there’s only a couple of months left in the season. What would be the point?
