August 26, 20187 yr https://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/john-greig-presentation PRIOR to the Premiership fixture against St Mirren at Ibrox Stadium on August 12 club legend John Greig was pleasantly surprised when he was presented with a stunning gift to mark his 60 years of service to Rangers. Former manager Walter Smith made the presentation in the boardroom and director of football Mark Allen, managing director Stewart Robertson, director of finance and administration Andrew Dickson, chairman Dave King, director Alastair Johnston, global ambassador Richard Gough and directors John Bennett and Graeme Park were also in attendance. Nine in a Row boss Smith said: “John, of course, is regarded as being the Greatest Ever Ranger and you can see why when you look back over the past six decades. “Not only did he make over 800 appearances for the club as a player, lifting the European Cup Winners Cup’ as captain and winning three Trebles, he also went on to become the Rangers manager and worked behind the scenes in the PR and youth departments before becoming a director. “He is now the Honorary Life President and if anyone deserves that role and title it is John. He is a great man and I was delighted to be asked to make the presentation to him.”
August 26, 20187 yr Author anyone sitting around wondering what to do before 4pm - put Motherwell v Rangers on first half has been a fever pitch classic : currently Motherwell 2 Rangers 3
August 26, 20187 yr Where to start with the draw at Motherwell. A crazy game especially the first-half. Great to see Kyle score a couple. His second was superb with a great header from a superb cross. Some good counter-attack play and was impressed by Barisic and Ejaria. As for the defending. not much that Shagger could do for the first and second but some of the defending looked shaky and the marking was poor on a number of occasions. Hopefully a one-off. Anyway away in Europe on Thursday - I'll be content with a draw there - and then at Septic Park next Sunday. Off to the pub later to watch Chelsea. Come on Chelsea!
August 26, 20187 yr Author Thought Rangers looked leggy for much of the second half and never got control of the game. Shame about the equaliser in injury time but maybe a lesson for Gerrard too. He left 2 strikers on when it was pretty obvious we needed to strengthen in the middle and give the defence a bit more protection big week coming up - nervous now
August 27, 20187 yr A bit off subject but today is the 30th anniversary of the 5-1 drubbing of Septic. It's the game where Ray scored with that cracking volley. Still one of the finest goals I've seen.
August 30, 20187 yr A good result for the 'Gers and finishing with nine men. I didn't see any of the game so can't comment on the sendings-off. Now for the visit to Septic Park on Sunday. Would love it if we beat them. WE ARE THE PEOPLE!
September 1, 20187 yr Author not going to make any prediction for tomorrow but one thing is certain, this season's Rangers team have a different mentality and a never say die attitude that just wasn't there last season. come on Rangers
September 2, 20187 yr McGregor saving the day so far with his unbelievable saves. But Rangers are dominated and seem all over the place atm. Upfront nothing much going on for Rangers alas... Edited September 2, 20187 yr by Londonisblue
September 2, 20187 yr Always disappointing to lose to those from the dark side. Thought that Rangers defended well and kept their shape well for most of the game. Shagger had a very good game in goal. As for the Celtic goal, it looked like a foul on the Rangers player during the build-up. The 'Gers didn't create that much up front but there are signs of improvement. Certainly have a fighting attitude. I watched the game in a pub and the sound was down so didn't have to listen to Andy Walker which was good as he talks a lot of drivel. A shame that Morelos didn't deck the legoe eater. WATP
September 3, 20187 yr Big disappointment yesterday, thought we would have made a game of it,never looked like scoring.
September 20, 20187 yr Author Rangers were terrific tonight a 2-2 result away to Valencia would be considered an achievement by many teams. Thought the Gers competed well throughout the game and got a deserved draw despite a couple of near misses from Valencia right at the end. Having said that, Rangers did have a chance to nick the 3 points too. Still making progress under Gerrard, lots to be proud of - just a pity we didn't try to have a go at Celtic the other week. WATP

WATP A great result for the 'Gers and against a very good Spanish team. I only saw a few minutes as was watching the Chelsea game. Will catch up with the highlights of the Rangers match later. As you say, still making progress but lots to be proud of. WATP
September 23, 20187 yr Author well, what an interesting day. The Tarriers slip up at Killie, Brendan Rodgers tells celtic supporters to be "alarmed" by their start to the season and Rangers demolish St Johnstone to go 2nd.
September 24, 20187 yr A great day yesterday for the 'Gers. And with the Great Unwashed losing as well and Hearts dropping points the day before. A few men and women from the Armed Services at Ibrox yesterday. So good to see Rangers support our Armed Services. A few pictures were taken including the one below. Class.
September 24, 20187 yr https://rangers.co.uk/news/galleries/gallery-armed-forces-day/ Some cracking pictures here.
September 26, 20187 yr Author Cruised into the semi-finals tonight. Downside Lafferty is cup-tied and Morelos got booked (again) and is suspended. I still think we'll beat Aberdeen and fancy Hearts to do Celtic.
