Gem
If it was our end at the Scousers, it would be front page news. Yet... No mention of it after the game, and I wouldn't be surprised if it gets completely overlooked by the rags tomorrow. Conspiracy. Average IQ of a Liverpool fan - 23 Average hubcaps they've stolen in year - 23 Average times you want to kick them in the head - 23. The Moos
I haven't heard anyone mention the bottle-throwing. As far as I know there's nothing in the swedish papers (or on the homepages anyway). Roma got punished because their fans threw 1 coin and there was a lot of headlines about it. Pool fans throw several bottles and nobody seems to care. Doesn't bottles to the head hurt? Let's round up a few scousers and find out
Lofty
No mention of it tonight, nothing on Sky Spots News, nothing on 5Live and nothing on Talktrash. And of course there won't be anything in the press. Far be it from me to go over ancient history but well, everybody knows that Scousers are the Best Behaved Supporters in the land don't they? Backbiter
I thought there was a similar conspiracy of silence on the horrendous Alonso challenge on Mikel. They did replay it but only once. Looked a blatant yellow and unbelievably high tackle - right in Mikel's tackle.

loz
I said it in the main thread and I will say it again here - I think tonight we would have waited as long for an Alonso booking as Liverpool have to win the league again. The takle on Mikel's genitals was a clear yellow, but even after that wasn't given, he must have committed somewhere in the region of 5 more fouls without a suggestion of a booking for persistent fouling. Having said that, other than that, I thought the ref had a good game tonight. OK he missed the handball but these things happen. I thought he let the game flow well and wasn't overly fussy.
