Real vs The Medias finest (CL Final 22)

Featured Replies

Plus it only happened to the dippers, not the Real Madrid supporters who behaved sensibly. But hey ho, who cares? It happened, likely there was a cock up by the French police, but triggered by the dippers' trying to scam their way in and pushing to jump into the stadium. Had the police not acted, maybe we'd be talking about another disaster started by the 'vicitms' as in Heyssel.

What I find ironic is that a so called Chelsea fan is 3 weeks after they lost the final still trying to defend them and helping the narrative to avoid talking about how funny it was that they ended up derailing their famous quadruple.

Don't forget the sanctimonious Frenchie bashing, which was highly amusing (and confirming my prejudices about xenophobic moronic Brits; not you @RMH, I hold you in high regard) :laugh2:

Yeah, I was going to mention the way he talked about the French and the fishing rights and so on, but then I thought that I’d rather not open another debate because I come to this topic to laugh at the scousers and how a bunch of pensioners dominated them in the UCL

I dunno about this.

when we fondly remember our own  pitch invasions , riots and hooliganism ,all to be found on this site , have we taken leave of our senses ?

And in Munich our fans smashed the big screens when Munich scored, left one intact though.

What do you think it would have been like it that final was at the Bridge and Munich had won ?

Does anyone remember Sunderland away and the old bill that night ?

come on, it's not black and white is it ?

anyway come on you BLUES !

We certainly have had a few nutcases and thugs in our time yet think the difference is we got roundly condemned by the media.

Yeah we did get condemned mate,  I'm pretty sure Liverpool fans would have been condemned too if the same things had happened at Anfield .

Not so sure. They have been directly responsible/involved in two of the most serious and deadly events in European football history and there's no condemnation of the Club or their supporters. In fact, there's this narrative that they were the victims and Heyssel gets silenced most of the time. What would have happened if it had been us and we decided to parade this season on the anniversary day of the killing of the Juve fans? The media would be all over us, instead, they silence that and get on with building the story that the French police mistreated the poor, poor Liverpool supporters. Should we also discuss about the media saying how dedicated their fans are when the City bus is stoned twice in their Champions League matches? Or when they set fireworks to wake up and disturb their opponent's players when in that sh*t hole of city? I mean come on, that's not the narrative we get from the media. And they never get condemned for it (in fact, it was the whole of the English football teams that bared the grunt for the Liverpool supporters).

I believe the truth lies in the middle ground between what the French authorities are saying and what Liverpool supporters/the press (who for some reason love to suck the metaphorical cock of the scousers) are saying.

Neither seems to be providing evidence to back up their claims and instead are just giving their opinions as fact.

Also - I don’t really give a sh*t and have no idea why I’ve decided to comment at all.

TTFN.

I think with stuff like this esp when it gets all serious the only thing to do is get the facts as best as anyone can before just condemning an entire swath of people - whoever those people are.

Once it was established that yes some people, Possibly some brits started climbing the fence but that was only after thousands of locals from a really dodgy area near the stadium turned up and started creating chaos then immediately it was obvious what was really going on, Women, Children and old men were riot raided by the French fuzz and then they came out and claimed they were actually after all the locals etc!

Basically standard english club supporters haf of them fired up on Stella probably having a party and then the baguette throwers had themselves a fun little time probably trying to ruin a load of brits day, But ofc probably more than half weren't even British, most were tourists!

They even admitted the ticket thing was all a lie!

all i wanted to state was what really went down, Not defend the dirty dips and i got abuse haha

France is an absolute ghetto in areas these days and the powers that be are consumed by one upping us

We didnt have 200yrs of wars against the french for no reason!

I can't disagree with you mate and I wasn't aware of the anniversary of the Heysel outrage , and yes the club and fans ignored it afterwards. The other thing is their violent robberies of clothes shops in Europe bringing back designer clothes which supposedly started the casuals movement.  commentator seen to portray that criminality  as a bit of a lark.

Not sure Paris was alldown to them though, and the St Denis gangs seemed to be able operate freely afterwards

They are not blameless, but I don't recall them being involved in major disorder at domestic games like we were ?

The media and football people just don't get it. Even Pep believed everyone was rooting for Liverpool and Jonathan Woodgate unbelievably claimed that villa fans wanted Liverpool to win at Villa park !

the only time I've ever wanted an English team to win a trophy though  was Liverpool.

But that was against Spurs !

Have a good weekend mate

The major domestic disorder they were responsible/involved in was Hillsborough. For all the disorders and crap that we've done, nothing compares to that. Now, the police is also blamed, which could be partially true, but their brainless scum were pushing and pushing and pushing their own. That same thing happened in Heysel... And that could have happened in Paris. I agree that there were local thugs also involved in violence, after the match the Madrid supporters were robbed by gangs of local youth. But the avalanche while entering the stadium was mostly down to Liverpool without tickets or fake tickets (which were easy to sell on because the Club wanted paper tickets instead of electronic) trying to make their way in forcefully.

The stealing happened also here, when they were stealing in every single service stations they stopped at when they travelled down to Wembley. And I saw Liverpool supporters trying to get into the Chelsea stands in the FA Cup final, which were kicked out from the queues by our own supporters, thankfully. Also, in every game I've been to against this lot in the last few years, the number of flares they carry is impossible to miss. They also take them to the Champions League. They are illegal, by the way. Not a peep in the media. The trashing of City's bus has happened twice, but that is down to their unconditional supporters showing their love for the club. We could go on and on, but let's talk about the Chelsea supporters, because all Chelsea are racists, as we all know....

Have a good one you too, mate!
