I don’t think they were the better team. I think we played Real Madrid much better at the Bernabéu than Liverpool have played the final. They haven’t created as many good chances as we did then. And Madrid’s chances were the better ones. But at the end of the day, the dippers lost and should have been by 2 if VAR had not helped them.

that's exactly how I saw it too. Real Madrid's players, on the night, just looked technically better and I never felt Liverpool were going to score either. Three finals, no goals - there should be some concerns about that at Anfield.    

It's funny really, when we won the League Cup and F.A Cup and losing the league title to United, I remember pundits saying we had a poor season, but when it's Liverpool, it's a different story.

I actually do think Liverpool had a good season, an excellent one in fact, like we did back in 06/07, but it's funny how different these pundits think when it's Liverpool in a similar situation.
