September 18, 20223 yr Was linked with a couple of PL clubs at the end of the last window. Big, strong attacking midfielder with a good header and technique to him. One I think we should keep an eye on, reminds me a bit of Poyet. Sometimes you can pickup a good player from the Championship, I think he would be one.
September 29, 20223 yr Author " According to the Sheffield Star, Chelsea made a loan enquiry for Sheffield United’s Sander Berge on deadline day, but the Blades weren’t interested in letting him leave on a temporary deal. We then went on sign Denis Zakaria, but could nevertheless revive our interest in the Norway international in the near future as Jeunes Footeux note. Berge has a £35m release clause in his contract, and the likes of Liverpool. Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund are also said to be monitoring his situation." Taken from WAGNH
September 29, 20223 yr A loan inquiry is pretty strange… I mean good to try but not sure why Sheffield United would allow him to leave especially on loan at the deadline 😂
September 30, 20223 yr Give the amount of CMs we are linked with gives me the impression both Kante and Jorginho are gone. Reckon we bring in 3 or 4 CMs.
January 28, 20233 yr Author Rumours doing the rounds that we have approached the Blades about a deal for Berge, with Enzo and Moises off the table. I like Berge but I don't think long term he s good enough to be a starter for us. A better option that Jorgi, RLC and Gallagher (technique wise) for sure, and perhaps Kova as well, but not a patch on Enzo or Moises imo. Still if we are looking for a small upgrade at far less cost he could do the job. However his Senegalese team mate Ndiaye is an absolute gem. If we are talking to the blades would love to snap him up and lead our line for the rest of the season, the next season rotate with Nkunku. Kid is quality.
January 28, 20233 yr As a fellow Norwegian, I can confidently say he’s just not good enough. He’s strong and has the ability to glide through opponents, but lacks creativity and is not a goal threat. Similar to Kovacic and RLC in style, not really what I think we need
