August 4, 20232 yr As the Scottish Premiership starts tomorrow I thought I'd start a new thread about The Bears. Rangers are away to Kilmarnock tomorrow. @Mod Please could you pin this thread. Thanks. Here's a lovely tribute to Willie Thornton, a Rangers great and recipient of the Military Medal.
August 5, 20232 yr Author Not a good result. Two of my cousins were at the match. They won't be happy.

A lot of players have left as well. Guess it will take a while for them to settle in. One of the players signed is Dujon Sterling who was in our youth team. I don't think he played for the first team but could be wrong. Up next for Rangers is a Champions League qualifying match on Wednesday and then home to Livingstone in the League

Saw Dujon play a few times for the youth team. Was impressed by him. Hopefully will do a good job for Rangers. Edited August 7, 20232 yr by Boyne

August 10, 20232 yr Rangers should have been ‘out of sight’ after the first leg. Created a few really clear cut chances before the Servette penalty just before half time. Credit to the Servette keeper, for making a couple of brilliant saves in both halves 2-1 is a slender lead to take to the away leg next Tuesday. I do think Rangers have enough to go through

I do think Rangers have enough to go through Agree that Rangers should have been out of sight. As you say, created a few good chances. Gave away a soft penalty. Yes, should have enough to see them through and then it looks like they will play PSV Eindhoven. Won't be easy but getting into the group stages of the CL will be great for morale and the coffers.
August 13, 20232 yr Kieran Dowell scored the pick of Rangers' goals in 90th minute. Three late goals gave Rangers a comfortable 4-0 win over Livingston and their first three Scottish Premiership points of the campaign. Sam Lammers struck on the rebound early on after Todd Cantwell's cross had been pushed away by Shamal George. Andrew Shinnie twice tested goalkeeper Jack Butland as Livingston pressed for parity after the break. But Danilo's tidy header from a Borna Barisic cross, Abdallah Sima's close-range finish and Kieran Dowell's stunning strike meant four players in total got their first Rangers goals. Decent display by a Rangers side still getting used to each other’s style of play after a large turnover of players during the close season.
August 14, 20232 yr Author Nothing to do this season but a Rangers great Tom Forsyth who passed away on 14 August 2020 A superb defender. Probably best remembered for two things: the wonderful tackle on Mick Channon in the Scotland v England game at Hampden Park in 1976 and that goal in the 1973 Scottish Cup Final. The winning goal in Rangers 3-2 win over Celtic. Edited August 14, 20232 yr by Boyne

August 15, 20232 yr Author Get in there. Superb cross, great header. Only a few moments gone in the second half but Rangers look better than in the first half.
