VAR would have overturned that

Agree. Surprised that the assistant referee didn't spot that it was outside the box.

We complain about the men's game but the standard of officiating in women's football is an absolute joke. Fking laughable really.

The womens game will always struggle to gain credence whilst the pub league standard or refereeing remains.

Can't understand why that goal was disallowed. Certainly wasn't offside.

Thought the team played really well and bossed the match. Now for the bin dippers at the Bridge on Saturday.

Just watched it again. I'm serious here, that is one of the worst decisions I have ever seen on a football pitch. She ran past three Madrid players to reach the ball. Fully 3 yards onside.

I'm serious, I was a youth football manager for 12 years I don't think I have seen a worst decision, even in kids football with some dad running the line.

Makes a complete mockery of it.

You're spot on about the poor refereeing. I've looked at the 3rd goal a few times and as you say Niamh was well onside. The commentator said that there might be a foul by Kerr. I couldn't see one.

As for VAR it should be in all major and probably minor competitions - men and women - or not at all. Not this mish-mash that we have at the moment.

Sound like I missed some blatantly corrupt officiating once again. Other than that how were we?

Currently Stamford Bridge adjacent at Earls Court waiting for my train.
