Really enjoyed this and despite normally hating him, I liked how Simon Jordan was scared to just outright ask JT questions about the more sensitive stuff. I've always thought he was the type of twat to spout it on his radio show but suck up to someone in person. Thought JT did okay with them and got across his side of what went on.

I agree with @nonotnowjim , his plane story is open to interpretation and doesn't come across perfectly but its also hard to question JT's decisions given the impact and career he had making those choices. I remember how heavy handed the AVB handling of our experienced players felt at the time and this just shows how awful he was behind the scenes. Begs the question if he would have been a success if he hadn't have had to try and move them on.

Since you're all mentioning AVB, he is the new President of FC Porto since Saturday.

AVB knew JT, Lamps & Drogba of old so he should have been aware of how they would react to sitting in economy. Either way it indicates he didn't read the situation or he just wanted to stamp his authority on the senior players.

Just stinks of bad management, what did he think he was going to gain doing that, the young players who all looked up to those 3 would have just thought it was idiotic. Its performative nonsense.

It was pre season, when he first joined in his first season - so very early.

It's a good job JT made it in football.

His old man didn't sound like a pleasant character at all, if John hadn't made it he would have been damaged for life.
