June 28, 20251 yr Excited to see the reunited Hard Fi headlining the Avalon stage tonight. Great high energy band.Friday highlights for me were En Vogue, Alanis Morissette and also enjoyed Maribou State. Still catching up with everything that was on. Haven't seen the Fratellis set yet. June 28, 20251 yr Watching John Fogerty at Glastonbury. A fine songwriter. Possibly the only bit of the festival I'll watch.
June 29, 20251 yr Glastonbury really has become a bit of a joke. So many sh*t and undeserving acts. Was going to watch some of it this year but just couldn't be arsed. A lot of acts I either can't stand or have never heard of and when it comes to a legend like Neil Young, would rather watch clips of him at his peak on YouTube rather than now when he's nearly 80.

Which really says how sh*te the festival has become. I like Nile Rogers but a festival on this scale shouldn't need to.keep relying on the likes of him to drag the day along playing a similar set every time.I love Neil Young but he is nearly 90. And yet still the best headline act this year by a mile.Olivia Rodrigo as a headline act? f**k right off. What has she had? Two albums?
June 29, 20251 yr And even that isn't including all the Political sh*t now! That seems to have started over the last few years and peaked at this one, madness how they got away with that!Even the IOW festival seems to have fallen short too now, which I think was better than Glastonbury these days! Though Sting was there and pumped out a near 2-hour set easily, and doesn't look any different!
June 29, 20251 yr In other news Ronnie Wood is about the only celebrity who looks closer to death than Alex Higgins, and I mean Alex Higgins today
June 30, 20251 yr Its been dreadful this year, the headliners and major acts were mostly garbage, that 1975 nonsense was as bad as the Arctic monkeys one. Though it was fun watching the corpses of Gary Numan and Neil Young. The other stages are much better than the main one now, Prodigy, Pulp, Wet Leg, Turnstile, Wolf Alice, Nile rogers (as ever), Parcels, Self Esteem, the bonkers Future Islands, Caribou, English Teacher. Then you have garbage like that Charlie xx basically doing a sh*t karaoke and being lauded for it.
June 30, 20251 yr Watched the Download highlights last week. Proper live performances, Exceptional stagecraft for some of the bigger sets, no antisemitic bullsh*t hidden behind ‘politics’. Just a great music festival.Glastonbury, this year especially, was in the absolute gutter.
