loz
What I mean is is there any official confirmation - some websites are saying he has (i.e.Sky Sports amongst others) whilst others have no mention of it.

Guest Brian M
Good post, I was wondering the same thing myself. Seems to me we're going to get Ben Haim instead and off load Alex to Inter in part exchange for Zlatan...
Lofty
I can't find anything on the Sky Sports site, or BBC football. Not that this means there's nothing there. Me and Sundays have never got on too well. I can't remember hearing anything even remotely official. There was something about a work permit, problems with an application?, but that was a while back. Lofty
Not exactly confirmation but there's this on the Sky Sports site: [web]http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=469973&CPID=8&clid=8&lid=2&title=Mourinho+eyes+arrivals&channel=football_home&[/web] According to this story Brazilian international Alex will end his three-year loan at PSV Eindhoven to finally join The Blues, whilst Chelsea have also been linked with a renewed bid for Bolton defender Tal Ben Haim - also available on a free transfer. and ... When asked how many players would be joining Sidwell at Stamford Bridge, Mourinho told Sky Sports News: "I think three, and it is obvious a central defender because we have problems during the season with injuries in defence. "A central defender, a midfielder and a striker." Not exactly breaking news there, more like confirmation of what we already knew, cover for the ANC and so on. Butch
I have heard from a few sources, including Peter Kenyon and Alex himself, as to the distinct possibility that Alex will be playing for Chelsea next season. The sticking point is the work permit. I think either (a) we are working feverishly to secure that, or ( it's done and dusted and we're just waiting to announce. I don't claim to have Star's insider knowledge, but my feeling is this is about 70-80% done. By the way, missed the England-Brazil match; did Alex play and how did he do? Cheers, Butch

Brian, you seem to be the ONLY person in the world who thinks Zlatan is any good, or would be good for CFC. This isn't another of those "Gay Pirate" spoof things is it? Guest Brian M
Well, he just came in as joint-top scorer for the team who won the Italian league. And he would've top scored by himself if he hadn't been injured for the last month of the season and required an operation. So he can't be all that crap now can he... Jimboola69
Zlatan is a superb player, potentially he has everything. However...he is as bad as a box of frogs. Some of his quotes are just barking. He also has a record in training incidents that even Joey Barton would think is 'out of order'. But as a player and a talent he really is one of the very very best. Perhaps Mourinho can make him more mature? I mean, how many training ground fights or verbal fights has there been in the Chelsea squad since JM arrived? Carvalho complained a bit about not playing, JM suggested him seing a shrink and not Riccy is one of the best. Mikel didn't behave as he should, JM told him off and suddenly he's a shining star at the age of 20. Diarra was late for a game, JM took him off the team and since then he's been on time and playing quite well.
mad_mac
still nothing anywhere so far! However, if we do get him, do we honestly think that he will play from the bench because I doubt he will be displacing Terry or Carvs anytime soon. Or if we do sign him, will we play him at RB which means no to Alves, and Johno comming back (I have pretty much resigned to the fact that we will be losing poor Pualo) Scott
