Right brit, you beat me to it

This can help to conclusivly settle the debate... i would never expect Juve to win the league in the first or even second season back in the top flight.. although i think if cappelo was still in charge it would be a close run thing.. BUT any manager worth his salt should have Juve right up there and challenging with in 3 seasons... and a tittle in 4 is not out of the question... i personly think the guy will still be building in 4 years (if he's still there) but if he wins the league and pauly confirms there where no bungs than usual ill hold my hands up and say i was wrong about the guy as a manager (in other words not a winner) i dare say his stout army of deffenders will no dowt do the same if as i predict he fails to win the title in his time at Juve

A shame on two grounds.

1. I would have liked to see Claudio back in the Premiership.

2. I think Juve were let off very lightly by the authorities in the phone tapping/match fixing scandal and I would like to see them struggle badly - however I don't want to see Claudio struggle. It is a shame he has agreed to join a club with such a recent history of corruption.

James Richardson was on the radio earlier talking about the appointment, and he reckons that's exactly why Juve have gone for Ranieri. With their tainted reputation, they need to go on one hell of a charm offensive, and having an uncontroversial and likeable manager is a big part of that.

Dont worry loz, i think Claudio will see to it that you get your initial wish, maybe it was part of there punishment that was unspoken "when you get prmotion you must build for a decade and then build some more, and the man that will do this for ... well you'v heard of the Tinker man" I believe this was probably followed by the Juver hire archy begging for a second relagation instead

(of course im exagerating things massivly but will always maintian that he will never win a top league

Terrific news. So very happy him. Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke!

I think this is a superb move by Juve, I think he is so so underrated, Remember his send off? Not many in the ground that day wanted him to go, the fact that he was replaced by Jose made him look mediocre but he wasn't..... my reasoning :

He struggled in the UK because of the language. He was never comfortable with it.

Yet.. he got us into the Champions League on a shoe string budget.

He took a big albeit unusual gamble in the CL semi's, if it had paid off everyone would be shouting football genius.

Then... Remember, Duff, Robben, Johnson, Bridge wow ! Amazingly 3 of them are still at the club.. come on Jose you know what to do icon_wink.gif .

I will put money on him being successful at Juve.
