Id bite your hand off!!

Blimey if Arsenal win their game in hand we are 10 points behind them.

The Prem is now the strongest its ever been, at least 6 teams are stronger than last year, and lets face it for want of a better expression we are in a pickle and im not sure how we are going to get out. I have no confidence in Grant whatsoever.

Step one has to be getting the injuries sorted out. But no sooner do we get someone back we lose someone. JT and Essien today.

Its almost like old times! I cant put my finger on why but it gives me a warm feeling inside!!! This is the Chelsea i grew up with!

Does anyone else know what i mean ?

Sorry, ive had a few drinks.

I'm slightly concerned about citeh... depends on if/when we get our new manager in and what happens in january...

I was at work when I heard that rosenborg were 1-0 up the other week...I actually joked with my mate, oh the good old days are back, we'll get rid of mourinho next! in a weird way this is the old chelsea I know and love...we will come back from this for sure, but we just have to accept we're in a scrap for the champs league places now and maybe if we're lucky we might pick up one if the domestic cups...we need super frank back asap...can all those critics of super frank, who demanded he be dropped, please own up and admit they were wrong...thanks

I agree with 4th place looking optimistic at this stage. I keep hearing the same crap about us having a great squad but that doesn't guarantee us a place in the top 4. A lot will depend on how quickly we sort out rhe current mess and our get key players back from injury/suspension (JT, Carvs, Frank and Drogs). I know Grant has taken quite a bit of stick after today and I am no fan of his either. But when you analyze things how different are we really this season from last? Look at the amount of games that we won 1-0 last season with unimpressive displays. In many of those games we were no impressive than we were today but were bailed out by a moment of magic from Frank or Drogs. Our bad run of results this season coincided with the loss of these 2 players and, unless somebody else steps up, I expect us to stutter on until we have them back.

When you consider all the players we have brought in it is a disgrace to be so reliant on these 2 but a lot of that has to come down with the misplaced faith in Sheva up front. We should have cut our losses on him during the summer and found another decent goalscorer to take the pressure off drogs. Pizarro has done OK but is not an out and out scorer. He also doesn't seem to be the logical choice to play alongside Drogs but probably to stand in for him when he needs a rest. Kalou is still young and erratic. He is clearly not ready to the main striker unless we are playing lower division opposition. The same probably applies to Sinclair.

I think we have to hope that Frank and Drogs can get us through to the January window still in touch with the top 4. Perhaps by then Roman will finally admit defeat over Sheva and replace him.

The top 3 will most likely be some distance away from us by then unless we can start a winning run. I doubt City or any of the others will stay with them but we do have a fight on our hands for 4th based on current form. Perhaps if we fail to make the Champions League next season Roman will learn his lesson.

I have a solution. Put Grant on our side of the pitch and make him smile. That should keep most players away.

Then use 11 men up front. One of them are bound to score a goal in the end.

Hence 1-0 to us icon_wink.gif

I didn't grow up with Chelsea, but after 13 years of Chelsea I think I know how you feel (just read my tag line icon_razz.gif ).

And 4th spot right now, yes please. A week ago I thought we would finish in the top-4, but now, after the week we've had, I'm not so sure anymore icon_sad.gif
