midlandblue
Don't worry, the locals you see wearing Liverpool tops only do so from Monday to Friday. At the weekend they change in to Celtic tops.

The Moos
Well the irish Liverpool fans might not be as bad as the "regular" ones? But seing as their irish they're probably worse I wish you the best of luck.

bjd
Theyre everywhere. Ive worked out in Ireland there are four types of football fan. 1 - Celtic Fans 2 - Liverpool Fans 3 - Man Utd Fans 4 - The rest. though number 4 tend to go for Sunderland by the looks of it! My Director has a stature of jesus in his office, holding his hands out. In one hand he has a Liverpool rosette, in the other a Celtic one. This is not a lie. I havent yet been brave enough to tell him my two teams are Rangers & Chelsea
TheWestwayWonder
My Director has a stature of jesus in his office, holding his hands out. In one hand he has a Liverpool rosette, in the other a Celtic one. This is not a lie. Good lord. No pun intended. Good luck mate! Sounds like youre gonna need it with the lot of them. Though I would venture to say that, owing to the jovial nature of the Irish people, you should be in for some healthy banter and badgering. But it sure beats waving your old firm allegiances up north! Edited July 23, 2008 by TheWestwayWonder
clubhappy
Done a gig a few years ago outside Dublin, all i was told was , theres a band on first then D.J. to finish , should be a big crowd . Wssnt wrong about the big crowd but never told me it was for The Co Louth Celtic supporters club 20th annaversary. When i got into the room, they were all standing in a circle holding hands , looking down on a big green flag with a picture of the pope on it. AND , half the supporters were either Liverpool fans or Man Yoooo fans in their spare time. As for the Sunderland connection, well , thats Man Yoo supporters who cant let go Roy Keane . Make your minds up lads.
mad_mac
Man this thread is funny. What's hilarious is that most non Scottish Celtic fans you meet in Glasgow, they will tell you that their teams are Celtic and either Liverpool or Man Yoo. A lot of the Scottish celtic fans are like that too, but lot's of them also probably don't know where Liverpool or Manchester are on a Map......like most Man U fans
