Mod Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Just heard this on the radio in the car, Chelsea are waiting to hear how long he's out? Doesn't look too good.
mad_mac Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 fantastic, more key injuries in the winter months...sounds horribly remnicent. I knwo we are an outside chance at the title, but the winter period is critical if we want to stay in touch. I only hope that Cech and terry are back for the start of the CL games as I see us with a great chance of getting far in that this year Scott
JT26CFC Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 could you imagine if we had the full squad. If you think about it, we're doing quiet well for a team with half it's first team squad out and yet still in third in all competitions. Not thrilled abotu Hilario, but he does well for a third choice goalkeeper.
The Moos Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 According to Eurosport Cech might be back soon. Will probably miss our next game but then he might be back in net again. Really hope that is true because we need our best keeper right now. Imagine having Cech, JT and Drogs out at the same time
Tim W Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 Done all right last time we needed him, so I expect the same this time. Perhaps not the best in the world but no worse than Robinson, James and too many others to mention.
Essien's Strike Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 hilario is a good shot stopper, saving goals on par with top keepers - but his area command is quite lacking.. although, when carlo was in goal, his area work was pretty bad too.. Hilario will sprint out for a corner only to get nowhere near it or if he does, punch it in some wierd place. Carlo seemed to have that about him as well so i reckon since Carlo is always injured Hilario is as safe as we can get under the circumstances. also, imo playing Cech too soon was a bad mistake on Grants part.
ecthelion Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 Given petr cech'S current form i thank god that we hAve someone like Hilario to play.
mad_mac Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 I said about our CB situation "what other team would be as comfortable with their 3rd and 4th string CB's as we are with TBH and Alex?" I think the same sentiment could be added to our situation with Hilario as our #rd string keeper.

You are damn right. If Aresenal or ManU Had not been With their first choice defense and goalkeeper they would have been struggling.

Hilario does his job well, it could be worse, we could have a first choice keeper like Robinson
