"Some fans may feel aggrieved, but their concerns will be outweighed in the eyes of the clubs by the financial advantages."

Or put another way - f**k the real fans, theres money to be made - Kenyon must be knocking one out at the prospect

For the first time ever, I find myself 100% in agreement with Adrian Durham. There is NOTHING right about this.

It'll give supporters in other countries a chance to see their team

Bollox. Bull-f**king sh*t. So Bejing, Shanghai or wherever are bursting to the seams with supporters dying to see .. Derby County ... Reading ... Middlesboro. Right.

Then as I understand it, the proposal is for an extra, 39th game to be played, opposing teams to be drawn at random but ... and there will be 3 points at stake just as in all the other scheduled Premier League games. How the f**k is this anywhere near approaching fair, when for instance, Man U could draw Derby and we could play Liverscum - who are not currently in the top 5, remember.

Garbage, absolote greed-fuelled money-making garbage, it stinks to high heaven and the person/people responsible for putting together this proposition deserve to have the living sh*t kicked out of them.

I tell you what. Let's have commercial breaks every 10 minutes. Let's have a new rule where the team with the highest profile sponsors gets to choose the referee, and to play all their games at home.

I tell you what, let's have done with the whole f**king cricus that IS the Premier League.

Its only a good idea if Chelsea get to play here icon_lol.gif . Seriously , as ideas go, its bizzare and i doubt the players will find the idea of playing 10 extra games appealing. Anyway, its bound to be staged, i hardly think Wigan v Reading will be high on their agenda of fixtures.

Straight from the ranks of the NFL marketing offices. They have had a couple of games played at webley, I believe, in the regular season, and are meant to be adding more this up coming season. Fine for them, they play once a week; however, for us, it would be a nightmare. It would tire players uneccessarily, and would no doubt mess up FA CL and CC schedules, at the expense of smaller clubs.

Honestly, isn't travelling to UEFA and CL games enough? If we want to appeal to teh iasian markets, then enter some of the pre-season competitions, and then come home in time for teh regular season. This will just make the demands on players even greater; the risk of losing highly priced players due to injury even higher; and the demands of wages from agents, well, ridiculous

Well, one positive thing about this is that it'll give supporters in other countries a chance to see their team. For some it's too expensive to make a trip to England and watch a game.

But, yeah, this is all about the money really. icon_sad.gif

About money, whatever makes you say that irony.gif

Without meaning to be insensitive, it's just a fact of life if foreign supporters can't pay for a trip to England and watch their favourite club. The English Premier League isn't called English for nothing. Just a money-grabbing scheme that will exhaust the players.

Besides, you'll see that the Amsterdam Arena will get Bin dippers v Rottenham icon_lol.gif

It's not bollox. It's true.

Still, as Valerie said, "The English Premier League isn't called English for nothing".

I can't say that I will be angry if it turns out that I can catch Chelsea here in Sweden but it's better (for the team atleast) if they all stay in England. After all, teams play friendlies all over the world every summer so if someone in China wants to see ManU they will probably get to do that without making a long trip.

What's true? That Bejing, Shanghai, Melbourne and any other place you care to mention is bursting at the seams with fans of Derby County, Reading, Middlesboro and Wigan to name but four? Fine if you say so. If you're happy in your own little fantasy world then far be it from me to burst your bubble.

The bright side is that Uefa might yet come to the rescue (first time for everything) and squash this garbage scheme before it has the chance to get off the ground. There is nothing "right" about this scheme. End of argument.
