Scott Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard has urged the club's owners to spend big this summer so they can mount a serious title bid. It must be getting old by now. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_3537408,00.html

BLUENUT Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 ''Doesn't he say this every year about this time ?'' Not every year.........a few years ago he was coming to the bridge, that was until Liverpool gave him a massive pay rise. He's so loyal that one........
TheWestwayWonder Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Hahah, good call Bluenut! Its changed from "Spend more money so that we can mount a serious challenge" to "Spend more money so that we can mount a serious challenge or i'm off" Trouble with his logic is that they did this last year and actually got further away from the title. Not only that, but the club's ownership is in turmoil. Oh happy times on merseyside
bonetti Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 'Spend more money so that we can compete for a massive 2 cups next season'
bluegraham Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Can't see the dippers having that much money to spend this summer with there new stadium goin a head. which looks sh*t by the way. when they leave anfield thats a massive part of there history down the pan
BLUENUT Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 More refreshing is that there are 20 year olds on Merseyside who have never seen Liverpool win the title.
Gem Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 If they don't match his ambition, ickle Stevie Me will be off. If Liverpool didn't win the title in his playing career at the club... I'd [Keegan]Love it[/Keegan].
bluegraham Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Everton are the real scouse club any anyway the like to give the whole history sh*t aswell. but there leaving goodison to move to kirby sum joke.
coco Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 If Liverpool didn't win the title in his playing career at the club... I'd [Keegan]Love it[/Keegan]. lmfao
dkw Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 thats brilliant gem. can the [Keegan][/Keegan] bit be added to the toolbar at the top.....
TheWestwayWonder Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 To me Everton seem like the next natural target for a big time infusion of cash/investor because they are constantly clawing at the top 4. I couldnt even put into words the joy I would get seeing them get a big takeover, refusbished squad and new stadium. Because you know Moyes is a compotent manager that makes do with not alot, and given the same caliber players you know that derby would be alot more one sided
Gem Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Sign two world class players he says... How about Kaka and our current link, Ramon? Get rid of Carjacker and Stevie Me and they might go somewhere.
