I went with Germany, altho my heart is totally Oranje. I just believe that the Germans have an easy group, and a much easier knock-out stage ahead of them.

Should be a great tournament, thought.

I really think that Croatia will have a good tournament, but I think that the Dutch just might win it all!

Sorry to be lazy, but does anyone have a list of all of the Chelsea players in each team? I'm thinking I'll support Germany 'cos of Ballack but I'm still slightly undecided :)

Cheers CFC!

Obviously going to support Cech, but I dunno if they stand a realistic chance of winning it unfortunately.

Ballack is a cert for me, Germany will probably be the team I support, and I think they may win it.

Portugal, well, three Chelsea players, two of which I love and one I don't know an awful lot about, so will support them too, even if they do have Ronaldo and Nani.

France? Hmm, Maka without a doubt, and I quite like Malouda/Henry/Gallas, really not a fan of Anelka any more though ;_;

Going for Croatia for this one, and hoping that my uncle sents me a kit icon_lol.gif They have a solid team and are quick, and did really good in the qualifications. I was hoping that Serbia could get in as well, but I guess next time around. Other team I predict are the favourites without any doubt are the Germans.

Until Gli Azzurri lost Fabs to that awful ankle injury, I would have gone with Germany. But now there is that element of 'We must overcome all obstacles'. Nothing like a bit of adversity on the eve of a big tournament to get the old Italian juices flowing. I think they might nick it.

Well, we only have until Monday to wait, to see how Gamberini fits into the boots of the little man. It could actually be a blessing in disguise, as it will inject a bit more pace into the central defence. No one loves Canna more than me (not even his mum), but I do think his best years are behind him now. This injury may work for the lads rather than against them.

Of course, now I have jinxed my boys, and they'll probably not even get out of their group! 346.gif

Beh - speremo.... Forza Azzurri!

Eh? Not sure about that. I would still have even Maldini there just for the fact that with him on there the other 10 players instantly get a power-up.

The pace in central defence was a worry right from the start. Also, don't you think it will be Barzagli and Materazzi starting?

Yes, Enrico - of course it will be Barzagli and Materazzi as first choices. I was getting a bit ahead of myself icon_lol.gif

Ah well - I'm starting to get an adrenaline rush now. Isn't it great for those of us who actually have teams in this competition icon_wink.gif

For the first time in years i'm excited to watch my fellow Russians play.

It's a young team and the players are mostly unknown outside of Russia but Hiddink gave them belief and confidence they can hold their own against the Europe's elite.

I don't expect them to do much but am looking forward to seeing several players in particular, such as winger Zhirkov, attacking midfielders Arshavin and Zyryanov and centre forward Pogrebnyak.

The general consensus at my work is that Holland would be lucky to survive the group stage...

I hope those idiots have sat up and taken notice after tonight, Valerie! Your lads were magnificent. You will easily qualify from the group.

Oi! Don't forget on-loan Khalid Boulahrouz, who started for Holland yesterday and had a very good match....

Errrr.... with my customary optimism I was one of those idiots...

Holland amazed the entire country yesterday, hopefully they can hold on to their form. Three points in the bag, and France and Romenia hardly setting the world alight in their match..... looking good so far!
