Not saying it will be, because as we have seen this tornement is turning out a tad hard to predict but from a fans point of veiw, ive got to put it all behind the germans now!!

Mostly for ballak, 3 CL final losses if im right, not gettting to play in the world cup final loss to brazil

loosing to spuds in the league cup (from the bench i believe, ive tried to purge it from my memmory)

not getting to take part in last years FA cup final.

The guy deserves his moment in the spot light....

Ive doomed him now havent I?

ballack has lost two CL finals, in both he was one of the best players on the pitch, had to make a tackle in the world cup semi which ruled him out of the final, which they lost, and also scored an own goal for leverkusen that denied them the league after he had been the best player in the league.

really hope they do it. don't you wish the english national side had the same spirit and mentality as the germans? we've got better players, but they're just miles ahead mentally.

I'll be going for the Germans tonight and again in the final if they win. The worst call i ever made on the CSR/Shed End was that Ballack would never be a success at Chelsea. At the moment he looks the best bit of business we've done since Cech.

1-1 right now against the Turks..... and the TV keeps going out because of lightning......wait, Klose just scored 2-1

The German's advance....who's your money on meeting them in the final?

Shame that the weather knocked the majority of the 2nd half off air, had to watch reactions of the fan zones...... but good game, luck had to run out for the Turks, and that they had about 9 starters out

LAHM!!!!!!!!!!!! 3-2, a player i've always rated

Saved his performance with the goal because he was diabolical up till that point. Defended like a schoolboy time and time again.

The better team lost tonight - maybe just maybe Schwiensteiger can hold his head up and claim a decent performance but the rest of them were terrible.

Yeah, Lahm had a shocker tonight defensively. He still got forward well, and should have had a penalty after leaving one of their defenders for dead, he also put in the cross for Klose's header! But he's still someone I have always admired as a palyer. Great attacking full back, and can play RB and LB. I don't know how much of the game you managed to see in the UK, but in the US they were only able to show about 5-10 total minutes because the coverage kept getting knocked out.

The Turks played like they had nothing to lose, and really had a great tournament

Almost!! He was p*ss poor tonight. Looked lost in the middle of the park without Frings along side him and was very guilty in surrendering the middle of the park to the Turks.

great game, turkey were impressive.

germany pretty horrible schweinsteiger aside, and ballack as a second striker didn't work at all, though it was great against portugal. personally I thought he should've been dropped back into midfield so he (and thus germany) could get a hold of the ball and get some posession.

(what a tournament though, have I said that before?)

Ballack didn't have as much of a presence going forward or even in midfield because he had to keep back to help out the damnable defense. The defense just could not muster any tactics to counter the Turkish offense. If this is the defense that Germany has in the finals, either Spain or Russia will easily penetrate it.

He wasn't playing in the middle of the park really, more as a second striker. He would have been better off dropping deeper as he didn't see much of the ball. Hitzlesperger and Rolfes were so hopeless that the German front players barely had the ball. Luckily for them they made the most of the opportunities they did create.

Klose, Podolski, Ballack and Schweinsteiger are a decent attacking group but after that the Germans really are pants in midfield and more so defensively. Lahm suffered just as badly as Jansen did without any help from Podolski defensively. Kazim Kazim ran rings around him.

Turkey were great and I felt sorry for them. Had they been able to field a full strength team then I think Germany would have probably lost. Fatih Terim will be a great choice for manager for some European team. I was very impressed with him and wouldn't have any problems with him coming to Chelsea.
