as were always being told that the dippers have the best fans in the world and anfailed will be full for every game, no matter what, guess how surprised i was to see last nights attendance as 28,591. can you imagine the grief we would get if the bridge was 15000 under capacity for a game.

:D

I think you're starting to see the loss of faith for this coming season already set in. The Scousers have seen this record before, and it ends with them finishing between third and sixth in the leauge. Despite all the millions and promises of improvent, the team is clearly still a work in progress, with a manager that doesnt know how to utilize them properly. And now that there is accountability, I think the team is starting to bottle it because of the expectations on them. All this "this is the year" sh*t has never been stronger than now.

Not to mention the fans hate the ownership. As soon as it starts going south, expect massive boycotts and walkouts. If the league/cup results stop coming in, I think there will be intensified protests because the reaction will be to blame the structure at the club (ie anyone but Rafa) for the state of things

I saw the highlights and huge sections of the stands were empty. It reminded me of Rosenborg a year ago. And we all remember what happened after that.

Just shows that its not just LFC that are only interested in competing for 1 trophy a season - its their laughable fans as well

Don't really see a problem with this... honestly, if we had a stadium as big as theirs would we sell it out for a Carling Cup game against a lower team? We struggle to get 28k for those sort of nights as it is...

But we're not the best supporters in the world.

"History FC" Hahahaha, watch a petition appear now to legally change their name to that.

Their stadium capacity is not much bigger than ours and normally we do sell out for all home matches. CC ties are at a much reduced price which is sensible.

and do you not think all and sundry would make a big deal of it if it did happen at the bridge? yet it seems to have strangely been completely ignored by the media. strange that....

Yep - they noticed the two thirds empty stadium at the bar codes all right

weird, hold on. you dont think the media would just completely ignore the garbage attendance at anfailed on purpose do you? why would they do that, i mean its not like their right up liverpools arse is it and terrified to upset the scouse victim mentality, which would end up with their newspaper being boycotted.

Hah, good points, it does seem odd that the media didn't pick up on this considering they're The Best Supporters In The Worldâ„¢.

History FC, I like that, very catchy :)
