Willian
He has the lowest standards on here by far. Two dangerous giveaways at the start of the 2nd half which could've easily cost us. Dribbling aimlessly into bodies & that unforgivable pass to Barkley instead of Hazard is was WIDE OPEN at 1 nil. The 3rd goal doesn't happen with him on the pitch imo.

Willian
Hazard's delivery has been far better than Willian's in this recent 3 game stretch. There was the free kick Barkley nearly scored from that led to Emerson's goal against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup. The last minute corner that Alonso should've scored from And yesterday his free kick that led to Barkley hitting the post

Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Some of you are weird. He was our best midfielder yesterday.

Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
He was actually getting stick after the West Ham game from a few...the mind boggles. He shouldn't have to carry us week in, week out to get a result. Messi, Neymar, Ronaldo, Bale, Salah etc none of them do it alone.

I pray for the day we have a 20+ goal a season striker...
You have to be clever these days. Like Liverpool converting Firmino into a False 9, Sarri converting Mertens into a striker, Tottenham getting lucky with Kane etc There are very few top class strikers these days & it's one of the reasons Madrid have stuck with Benzema so long instead of throwing cash at anyone with a great record.

You're trying too hard. No sane manager is restricting a player like Hazard's movement that can cause havoc & break lines whenever he touches the ball. "Juego de Posicion" simply does not apply to him.

Sarriball
Only Sane, Ederson, Stones & Walker were Pep buys for the core of the 100 point team. Delph, Otamendi, Sterling, De Bruyne, Silva, Aguero & Fernandinho were already at the club. He didn't exactly buy a completely new team, that's a myth. Also, we couldn't play out from the back because our manager didn't want us to. Luiz, Christensen, Rudiger, Amapdu, Azpilicueta, Emerson, Alonso are all technical players for their position. We only really lacked a passing DM & we now have that with Jorginho who's probably the best in his position. They'll have no problems using positional play. The problem is in attack. Hazard is the most technical player in the League & is tailor made for this system but Morata/Willian are toothless & we will struggle if they aren't replaced by better players. Not enough goals in that front 3.

WC 2018
Watching this World Cup makes me realize just how much we failed Hazard. He's been forced to play under defensive managers whilst surrounded by players nowhere near his level. Put him in Madrid's team & he'd be considered Top 3 in the World. He's easily been the best player in the tournament so far.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek
What's Willian doing in that team & especially in the #10 role lol? Awful player.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Hopefully he eventually overcomes it. Even during matches you can visibly see how much it affects him at times. In the friendly against Brazil last year he was forced to come off because of it.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek
I could post more of those but I cba right now. It's funny how everyone waxes lyrical about his talent & potential yet people on here downplay him because he doesn't run around like a maniac. The two Chelsea managers he's worked under so far (Mourinho, Conte) are ones that value KMs clocked over technical ability. Coaches who couldn't care less about nurturing & developing young talent. Ruben got the lazy tag attached to him very early on by Mourinho & it's stuck ever since which is why the fanbase is so divided about him. He's struggled with his fitness & stamina since his growth spurts but both of those have already improved drastically now that he's finally getting consistent gametime.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Literally the only reason people are "unconvinced" is because he doesn't run around like a headless chicken. It's the same reason people claimed Chalobah was more deserving of minutes 2 years ago. Just a single season with consistent gametime (despite suffering a major injury midway through it) and he's already forced himself into the England team & is on the verge of starting at the World Cup. His swift progression has been insane considering Conte was convinced he was a striker only a year ago.

Matic
Our lack of depth is greatly exaggerated. Bring two wingbacks & a 4th choice CM in & we have a very strong squad. Way stronger than last season. More depth & overall quality, only inferior to City. All this moaning abut Matic is laughable, a quickly declining player that hasn't hit the heights he had since 2014. Slow & ponderous on the ball, positionally weak, mediocre technically, one-footed, unathletic, extremely inconsistent & terrible against the press. Like Mata & Cech this is a sale we definitely won't regret unlike Filipe Luis & De Bruyne. Our inability to complete the Alex Sandro deal is the only thing I'm overly worried about. Sandro & Hazard would be by far the most devastating duo in Premier League history. Two World Class players on one flank is almost unfair.

The team goes as he goes. His teammates clearly feed off him.
