Forgot all about youtube: In case anyone wondered, the song is about heroin. And I've never been a smackhead either!
  3. Oh yeah. How easy is that?

  5. He also had a hell of a shot on him. Not that he was ever a prolific goalscorer, but he couldn't arf 'it 'em! He had a similar reputation for taking free kicks as Roberto Carlos, but unless my memory fails me, Hollins's was a little less mythological.
  6. Here's a little more info. The '96 game was the Mark Burke testimonial. And this is the match programme: Both these images are taken from current eBay sales - should be easy enough to find if you search for Hitchen v Chelsea
  7. "We" includes you sunshine!
  8. I feel a Derek & Clive moment coming on ...
  9. Fair enough. As I said, I think we'll have to agree to disagree.
  10. I think we might just have to disagree on this one. My opinion is it's just "one of many such instances" reported in the press, more often if not always, taken out of context or simply invented. You choose to believe everything you read, that's up to you. I have my own opinion on the media in general which I don't really think I need to elaborate on yet again. Again, let's look at his diving. He owns up to it. It's a part of his game, he says. Now this I've heard him say. Live on TV in fact. I've never once heard him say "I want to leave." But back to the diving. If you watch him, what he actually does, unlike Saint Stevie the Git, is he exaggerates, he does at time go down heavily at the slightest touch. Sometimes this can be put down to the sheer pace of the game - if you're moving fast, finely balanced, then the slightest knock CAN send you flying, but at other times he obviously lays it on thick. What I've never seen him do are the starfish type dives where there has been no contact whatsoever. Ok fine, but I think you miss the point entirely. I've often stood on the terraces and called Chelsea players c**ts. "XXXX you useless c**t" after missing a sitter, for instance. Or you'd call the entire team a f**king shower of sh*t (or whatever) after yet another humiliating defeat. Know what I think? I think you've been spoiled by success.
  11. That was in January 2008, right? He mentions the accusations of diving. I think it's understandable that he would feel pressure over the way he's portrayed in the media. Other personal issues we can only guess at. But I think it's safe to say that Mourinho's departure probably paid a part in this. He says he'll leave if things don't improve. Which they obviously did because he's still here. According to your criteria, having doubts, working through difficult periods (which he undoubtedly has done) is enough to make him a c**t and to merit your eternal dislike. Even though he states that he intends to do his best for the club while he is still a Chelsea player. As I said before, we're all entitled to our opinions. However, assuming this is an accurate quote, if that makes Drogba a c**t, then we're all c**ts.
  12. Not lately. But I don't call him a c**t based on what I've read in the press. I've heard him admit that diving is a part of his game, and I've seen him castigated for his honesty. I've seen him tear defences apart, I've seen him work his socks off, in defence and in attack. Infuriating as he can appear to be, I've seen an effort and yes even a commitment while on the pitch that seems all too easy for people to overlook. I base my previous statement about your attitude on this: And today I've chosen to say something because you're still harping on about what a c**t you think he is.
  13. But you are apparently someone who bases their opinion entirely on what they read in the press. You say "Drogba hasn't denied" so therefore he's guilty of everything the press ever threw at him. Face facts, Drogba isn't the worst diver in the premiership by a long way, yet he's near enough always used as the example. Oh and of course there was the incident after the Champions League second leg, blown up out of all proportion by Sky and all the rest of the c**tS in the media. "Worse than Cantona" was a common accusation, together with calls for a lifetime ban. I suppose you agree with that as well? So you hate him. Fine. You're entitled to your opinion. And so am I. Which is that your attitude stinks.
  14. Short of naming the entire late '60s, early '70s squad, the most glaring ommissions would be: Tommy Baldwin Peter Houseman Ian Hutchinson David Webb Also, it would be nice if you could find a place for a few more players from a little later in the 70s , the likes of Tommy Langley, Steve Finnieston, Stevie Wicks and so on. Sorry to harp on about Dave Sexton again, but with better planning, foresight etc, there would have been a gradual introduction of youth team players (and we had loads of them back then), the ups and mostly downs of the '70s need never have happened. What actually happened, was that the majority of the better, more experienced players/legends were unceremonously disposed of by that ex-Arsenal twat, players were pushed in to the first team whether they were ready or not because there was no one else, and there was no money to buy suitable replacements, the situation being massively exacerbated by the then huge debt resulting from the building of the East Stand in expectation of further success that never actually materialised . IF Sexton hadn't been such a stubborn egomaniac or whatever the f**k his problem was, the likes of Alan Hudson, Peter Osgood, Charlie Cooke and so on, would have still been there playing alongside those players that came through the ranks, who in turn would have had more time to settle naturally into the first team squad, and so it's not at all unreasonable to believe that the club would have gone on to enjoy continued success throughout the '70s and beyond, instead of coming within a whisker of going out of existence. Dark days of the '70s? All down to Dave Sexton. He took the glory of winning the FA Cup and Cup Winners Cup with Tommy Docherty's team, but his true legacy is the dismantling of that squad and the absolute chaos that followed.
  15. What amazes me is that nobody's noticed (or bothered to remark on) the missing m after £80! Of course I blame the keyboard. It's the moody one with an M/m key that goes missing whenever it feels like it.
  16. Yes you're right. We'll be lucky to avoid relegation this season.
  17. No. It means they've made that much more on selling players than they've spent. In other words, it's their overall balance for players bought and sold. Man U's balance is obviously skewed by the recent sale of the greasy poser. Add £80 and it's clear they've spent a lot more on players than you would imagine going by those figures alone.
  18. For a striker, his goalscoring record (132 from 429, goal ratio 0.31) would be excellent, for a midfielder it's incredible. To put things in perspective, not only is he now level with Greavsie, but he's only 18 goals of Ossie and Roy Bentley, both of whom scored 150 goals for the club, and who in turn are 52 short of Bobby Tambling in first place, on 202. I think it's safe to say he'll overtake Ossie and Roy Bentley. But would you bet against him equalling or bettering Bobby Tambling's record? Because I wouldn't! SUPER FRANKIE LAMPARD
  19. This twat. Calls himself Carradona. I haven't checked out RedRawScumsucker's old hangout for a while, but decided to do so out of curiosity about what, if anything, they'd make of last night's performance. And I saw this: LINK
  20. That's right, there was far more to him than just his size, he was a giant of a man in every way, with a gigantic appetite for food, alcohol and life in general. He was also apparently feircely protective of his teammates.
  21. Sorry I didn't mean to be. My initial "blaming the ref" comment during the game was based on his expression when they were 3-1 down, nothing too serious. And the second was a direct quote about tiredness, which to be fair (as I tried to be) he threw in to soften the admission of how entirely outclassed his team were on the night.
