That's got to be a wind-up. Like the commentators who emphasised again and again that "Drogba made the most of it" for the penalty, as if to say "Of course he made the most of it. That's what Drogba does". Nicely managing to ignore the Blackburn defender's trailing leg that blatantly took Drogba down. f**k 'em all.

Nice to have such a difficult choice. Anelka was good again, Balllack was excellent as was Joe Cole, but I've gone for Frank Lampard. Not only for his two goals (the first of which I managed to miss) but for the vast apparent improvement of his game. I say "apparent" because I don't think he's been playing that badly all season, he's just looked less effective because of the different, less visible role he was asked to play.

That was almost too easy. Plenty of excellent performances. Good that Sturridge and Bruma get on the pitch. Blackburn were woeful though. And to state the obvious again - Diouf is a c**t. For the first 15 minutes or Drogba was hardly involved. He didn't have the best of games but still scored two and could have had four. Nice to see Frank Lampard not only on the score sheet but also far more involved and to good effect. Also nice to see Joe Cole back and looking fit. Shame that chance came so early in the game. Still, you can't have everything. 5-0 will do me nicely thankyou very much!

Drogba again and it's FIVE!

Frank Lampard penalty makes it 4-0, game well and truly over. Unless I'm mistaken, he needs another 15 now to overtake Ossie, which looks inevitable now. Don't get me wrong here, I'm not complaining at all, but when it happens, I don't think I'll be able to avoid a little mixed feelings.

Biggest mystery so far is how we're only 1-0 up. IF we hadn't scored it would be easy to think it was another one of those days. Looking very comfortable so far, but all those cliches about there's always a chance with a one goal difference ring all too true. Having said that, more of the same in the second half will surely bring us another goal or two.

My copy - which cost £44.97 inclusive - arrived today. As advertised, the box includes two DVDs, 64 Bit and 32 bit versions. Not that I'll be installing it just yet. I'll still be using XP as my default OS, and want to up a fresh dual boot, meaning I'll have finish backing up then reinstall and update XP all over again before I even think about installing Windows 7.

Essien was excellent but went for Anelka who showed clearly tonight how much there is to his game. Reminds me, I was well pissed off at the way Beglin and that Manc idiot had a go at Essien for that challenge - the one where he was actually being steamed into from behind by that Atletico player whose name I forget but on another night could easily have been sent off.

Thanks for the info. I knew the origins of some, but not all of the names. I remember years and years ago, when I was a nipper, getting back from shopping with my parents on Saturday afternoons, watching the classified results, a lot of those Scottish team names always sounded strange and exotic to me. To this day I've never been further north than Hadrians Wall - the Hadrians Wall Road to be precise, going from Newcastle to Carlisle.

Good news. I'd also heard rumours that Alex was after a move, but like most here hoped there was nothing to them. In retrospect it seems a lot of this "unrest" was conjecture fuelled by his absence through injury.

I think that might have been Plymouth. At the end of the game, as usual the Old Bill wanted to keep us in, but a load of us got out by forcing the corrugated iron at the back of the stand. We spilt up, a few of us went on ahead through a park with the main Plymouth mob in hot pursuit. Going over a hill we met the rest of the Chelsea, so stopped and turned .. and I swear you've never seen a mob stop and turn and run as fast as that lot did!
