Good to see JT rested and Luiz has put in some good performances lately (even though he was DM) so I think he'll be fine. Our other on-field 'general' is on the pitch to cover for him. Mods can we change the title of this thread please? It's kind of depressing to keep logging in and seeing "Gary Cahill - Must improve" especially after he has been playing this season!

Cahill, Luiz, Hazard, Matic - All really good but seriously our biggest asset this season is Jose, for sure. He has reunited a team, reunited the fans, and got us playing some seriously good football. He has returned to us an even better manager than he was before with all the experience he accumulated and there is no one better to lead us into big games than him. On another note, Hazard is who we need to build this squad around. He really is going to be something special.

I'm hoping Jose has something special up his sleeve for this one. Everyone is expecting us to 'park the bus' but I don't think we will setup for a draw like we did at OT. Oscar/Wilian/Hazard/Lampard/JT/Cahill are must starts for me for this game - mix of youth/experience. I'd go with; Ivan - JT - Cahill - Azpi Lampard - Matic Oscar - Wilian - Hazard Eto'o

Better strikers, goes without saying. Better midfield, probably. Better defense? f**k no. We have the best defense in the league this season, a feat that I feel has gone highly unsung as of late - by the media (of course) and the fans. This game only goes one or two ways for me. There attacking football plays into our hands and we counter-hard and grub a result or a draw. Or our defense falls over and we get whooped.

What makes me laugh the most is that Jose didn't actually criticize West Ham or there tactics, his words were something along the lines of; They did not come to win, they played 19th century football etc etc, I needed a black and decker to break down the wall, but I don't criticize him because if I was in his position I would of done the same thing.

Seriously, people are already saying "If Mata was in the squad....."??????? f**k me.

Anyone who played tonight is good enough for Chelsea just a few of our players had a really, really f**king bad night. I also don't think Jose got it right tonight, subs and starting 11. Incredibly frustrating game of football to watch. Lets see what happens when the best attacking team in the league comes up against the best defense in the league.
