He improved this season definitely, no question about that. But he is still not good enough in my opinion. And if he stays, he will probably be even better next season. Still, like I said, I don't see place for him in Jose's system. He is very different player to both Alonso and Khedira. He can tackle like Khedira but won't pass the ball immediately. And he is nowhere near Alonso when it comes to playmaking. He is dwelling too much on the ball, goes forward too often, leaving gaps behind in the process, tries to dribble and loses the ball, just playing too complicated overall. Jose's system is based on simplicity, fast exchanges of the ball, fast thinking players, and taking absolutely no risks in defence, whereas Luiz likes to take the ball and dribble in his own half, or even box. So I can understand why Jose doesn't like his game. We will see what happens, I won't be disappointed if he stays as he can be useful player, but in my opinion, he is nowhere neither world class player nor being next Chelsea captain.

Well, he signed last summer from Real and they put a buy back clause in his contract, and activated it this summer. Around 5-6 mil I believe. But yes, good player with great potential.

Absolutely, ever since. Like I said maybe 5-10 pages ago, he is not better than Reus technically but we already have enough technique and flair in Mata, Hazard and Oscar. Schurrle is more of a hard working winger, but also knows how to set up and score goals. Watched him a lot this year in BL as I'm also fond of some of Bayer's other players, especially Reinartz and Kiessling.

Jose is not an idiot. Luiz is what you call jack of all trades but master of none. There is no place for him in Jose's system. He is not reliable CB, nor useful holding midfielder, although he can play in both positions. 30 mil is more than a decent price for him.

Ok, if they reject 40m plus Torres then they are crazy. Torres will come good in Serie A and they will have an extra 40 mil to spend.
