Oscar - Little Diamond
If I recall right he played in the pivot against Juventus and was fantastic.

Welcome André Schürrle *Official*
Wouldn't be surprised if we also sign Hulk and then play with inverted wingers with Lukaku as a deep lying forward feeding them with balls...

Mikel to Turkey?
How is that related to Mikel?

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
Like I said, quote, if we continue to play possesion football like we did play under Rafa, unquote, which means 4-2-3-1 with three attacking midfielders passing ball inbetween them forever and trying to walk into the net, even fat Ronaldo himself wouldn't score 25+ goals in the season. Btw, Messi is not true 9, haven't watched Cryuff, Aguero scored less goals than Torres did last season, Henry and RvP rarely played in 4-2-3-1 and when they did, it was fast ball exchange / counter attacking 4-2-3-1 (something like what we played under RdM and when Torres really hit the form), but 99% of the games Henry played in 4-5-1 as a lone striker and in Manchester RvP plays in 4-4-2. And Suarez is just a retarded c**t who takes 20+ shots every game and gets lucky, he is not even worth mentioning on this forum. Suarez? Liverpool? Possesion football? Yeah, maybe while they're in their own half.

No Cavani, No Lewandowski, then which striker?
Gomez, for 20 mil he is bargain and will bag bunch of goals. But I'm also happy with current setup - Torres, Lukaku, Ba and Schurrle.

That's what I'm talking about :D

Don't forget Makelele joined when he was 30 and went on to become key player in back to back titles.

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
That's different, Serie A is way slower and Schevchenko had way more time on the ball while in Milan. Torres proved himself in EPL, in Liverpool's counter attacking system he scored 20+ goals every season, what, did he magically lost all of his skills?

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
The thing is, if we continue to play possesion football like we did play under Rafa, fat Ronaldo himself wouldn't score 25+ goals in the season, simply because majority of goals in that system are coming from the midfield. So the stories about us being one world class striker shy of Premiership are bs. Of course we are gonna be a counter attacking team, and of course on-paper weaker teams are attacking you, get your facts straight before you come up with something like that again.

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
Yeah but Benitez is nowhere near as good as Mourinho is. He worked with Torres before, yes, but he opted for possesion system in Chelsea which is a absolute disaster for Torres, he just doesn't know what to do with the ball when there are 10 or so players in the box, he likes to recieve the ball 30-40 meters from goal, beat a defender or two and score. Just like against Benfica.

Medical is today from what I hear.

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
But we are going to be counter attacking team next season. This can turn out good, Jose is great motivator and I can see him getting goals out of Torres.

Welcome André Schürrle *Official*
I wouldn't trust some of you to take my garbage out, let alone manage a football club. Schurrle is brilliant signing. He is probably the most versatile attacking player we have at the moment, can play (and has played during his career) on the left wing, on the right, behind the striker, as a support striker, and as a main striker. He is perfect player for fast transitions from defence to attack (aka counter attacks). Also, he is fantastic when it comes to (already mentioned) work ethic and defensive responsibilities.

2013/2014 season Liverpool away and third colours
Goals weren't Lpools problem last year but defence, if very good CB is not bought this summer, with Carra leaving, I don't see you anywhere near 5th place.

Strengthening the Defence
Apparently PSG have offered 45m for Luiz, it's now or never Roman!

Strengthening the Defence
Ship out Luiz.

Welcome André Schürrle *Official*
He won't play on the right come on now... while in Real Jose always employed inverted wingers, right footed Ronaldo on the left and left footed Di Maria on the right. Plus Schurrle's natural position is left wing, in the last Germany game vs USA he played on the right and he was almost ineffectual apart from that one good run.

Finally we signed him, great news! This transfer could be the difference between us winning the league and not doing it.

Juan Mata - The End Where I Begin - By Feroze [HD]
He probably downloads entire matches in hd from sports torrents and then cuts out the parts he wants to put in the video

Cavani, Hulk, Schurrle IN
So had Ba, and scored much less goals than while he was in Newcastle.
-
Cavani-Torres swap deal
His hair is brilliant, looks like some latin player from one of those latin soap operas
-
Cavani, Hulk, Schurrle IN
I agree. However, here he has a chance or two per game whereas In Liverpool he had 5-6 quality chances per game and scored one sometimes two.

Julian Draxler
All of the German links are pretty much same. That he is on Mou's wanted list, that there has been no offical contact with Chelsea, and that Draxler himself wants to stay at Schalke for now.
