I'd let him go, never has been good enough

I'm not a massive fan of the idea to sell him. If we do, we'd need to bring in two holding midfielders. The thing is, we have no one similar to Mikel (I consider Romeu's Chelsea career almost over unless there's a miracle) and it's pretty much known that we could do with someone to improve on him at the club, but if we then sell Mikel, we'd have to replace him as well. Unless we get in a younger player (along the lines of Strootman, but not necessarily him) and then a more experienced one (along the lines of De Rossi or Khedira, but not necessarily them), I can agree with the idea, but it doesn't seem the most sensible course of action.

 

I know he's a hate figure on here, so I expect most here will disagree, but he's extremely useful and selling him means buying two.

Not for me. I hope he stays at Chelsea. He isn't consistent enough to start every single game for us but definitely a useful player to have around nonetheless.

Agreed. Especially because Jose is now in charge and if anyone can consistently get the best out of a player, it's him. I personally feel that we will see the best of Mikel under Jose this time round, considering he isn't sold obviously.

Well a few months ago some forum-er was all bent about no club bidding for Mikel... Hopefully Chelsea turns down the offer. Mikel will be in Brazil next weekend. looking forward to games against Spain and Uruguay
