  1. the comments after the goal so far have validated my point.
  2. So lets say Drogba did the same thing. Or Van Persie. Or Cavani. Wouldn't you say it's expected? But torres...weak opposition. I guarantee, for the former, nothing would be discussed other than the four goals. The rest of the performance would not be a talking point. But the fact that its torres and he's an easy target for media and fans...We try to find a negative in anything he does. I can see if it was another teams striker, but a Chelsea player? It's like blind hatred for a person for no reason. Lest not forget, whether we like it or not, he's STILL a Chelsea player. If he does do well under Jose, what then?
  3. Each country has its "star" on the international level that play pretty well with their countrymen. England on the other hand is in shambles. Cant play together on te international level. Cant play at the same club. Until the FA gets its act together...the less English the better a team will be.
  4. 4 goals against Tahiti. Any top class striker - business as usual When torres does it - weak opposition Unfairly criticized.
  5. i akin jose mourinho to phil jackson (legendary nba coach - 11 championships). he's got this aura about him. able to handle big egos. a big ego himself...but a tactical genius/madman. look at the press going mad about him coming back to the prem. what separates jose from the peps, fergies....is he brings success to wherever he goes. pep is unproven away from barca. fergie built a dynasty at man u. who's to say how they will or would've done away from their comfortable surroundings. the league needs him. we need him. man u dynasty is done and gone. pressure to replicate what fergie down will be the downfall of every manager here after. it's time for a new dawn. a new reign. chelsea fc. kings of england. rulers of europe. dominators of the world.
  6. You'd think negotiations between any other owner/manager would go on for days. But this.. Jose: do you want me to come back? Roman: do you want to come back? Deal done. It's what's called fate.
  7. What got me is the interview was not wanting to splash cash right away but words like Hard work. Stability. Passion. Love. Development. Training. All things said point to him wanting to truly build a dynasty. A much different Jose. Mature. His collection of experiences have developed "him" and has now brought him back to the club he truly ever loved. A manager that passionate about a club and wanting it to succeed is dangerous..... For the rest of the league.
  8. beat the martian national team and the chelsea squad from a parrallel universe.
  9. Now that its official. An unbeaten season is not far from reach. League is set up perfectly for it.
  10. Jose has done things at his past tenures that haven't been done in years... Porto - Champions League Chelsea 04-07 - win the league (x2) Inter - Chmpions league, treble Real Madrid - win the league, cops del Rey Chelsea - ???? Gotta admit. Success follows this man. Lets all go back along for the ride. Going out on a limb and saying next season, dare I say, Invincible season??? Its set up perfectly.
  11. http://m.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/article.jose-mourinho-returns-to-chelsea.html This is getting silly. The official league site now playing along.
  12. When you really break it down, Falcao is a whore with a pimp.
  13. Greetings All! I was an occassional football fan throughout my life. played fifa since 93. watched the world cup every few years. occassional old school espn press pass back in the 90's with tommy smyth. never really seriously watched domestic and euro matches until after 2010 world cup. if i was lucky, i'd get to watch an epl match on espn2 at 2:45 in the morning. Now, thanks to cable, i can watch almost all epl matches (fox soccer) and a good number of domestic euros (la liga, seria a, ligue 1). i read brit and euro press and it all seems to glamorize chelsea in it all its glory and and its nonsense. and for that reason, i gravitated towards chelsea. since the media tends to magnify all things chelsea, i have been able to keep up with them, however my knowledge is only recent. all of you here probably bleed blue and what better group of people to catch me up and give me a quick history of Chelsea. Glories, failures, legends, etc. Who wants to start?
  14. shave his beard, and the most interesting man in the world is actually jose mourinho.
  15. - Super cup win - nicest kits - EPL top 3 with a serious title challenge - increased number of mancrushes on Jose - CL Semis - Hate from the british media - FA cup final, possibly win - improved Nando - Carling cup winners - Roman cracking a smile
  16. as i said in another topic, is it really necessary to get a "world class" striker? any striker expecting to get goals handed to him on a silver platter here will be sorely dissappointed. 20+ goals from a striker on this squad should be considered a good return when the team is built to score from all over the pitch. drogba although not prolific, always showed up when it mattered. the importance of his goals will give him a pass for not producing more throughout his chelsea career. imo opinion, we already have a game changer in mata. a debatable number of others a;so, luiz, hazard, ramires. so if it were me, and i had a 100 million pound war chest, a big money striker would be at the bottom of the list. adding some depth to other positions should be the necessity and really good striker at a reasonable price there after.
  17. I have to say European press is terrible. Can't find a story? Lets make one up.
  18. And that should be the priority this summer. A CDM and a striker. Loads of attacking match winners on the squad. Need that presence to do the dirty work in the middle and a poacher. However, the midfield is built to score. Is a "world class" striker really a necessity. I can't really see any striker coming in and scoring 30 goals in all comps. Team is built to score from all over the pitch. Bringing in someone expecting goals to be served on a silver platter may be in for a big dissappointment.
  19. Friendlies proved 1 thing. We are soft in the middle. City made us look silly. Too much ball holding on our part. Cities 1-2's were killing us. No striker now or coming in will thrive. Hopefully Jose can change that
  20. Something from SI. a more credible source. http://tracking.si.com/2013/05/23/jose-mourinho-signs-chelsea/ It's getting closer.
  21. Done deal. He has returned. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1648486-jose-mourinho-will-reportedly-be-named-new-chelsea-manager?utm_campaign=tsiphone&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=teamstream
